Raiderskater and Brew are about the only posos these days. Makes it hard to have proper internal division and spills

BTW there is going to be some epic battles in the Sarcastic Nego side.
I'm already plotting to bring TR down as admin.

Oh yeah, I forgot about cat’s tilt at greeneyed for leading their party too far towards the nego.Schifty wrote:What about Cat..gangrenous wrote: ↑August 24, 2018, 9:39 pm Raiderskater and Brew are about the only posos these days. Makes it hard to have proper internal division and spills

Son, we live in a world that has forums, and those forums have to be guarded by Mods. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Nickman? I have a greater responsibility than you can possibly fathom. You weep for Lucy, and you curse GE. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know -- that GE’s moderation, while tragic, probably saved lives; and my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, keeps threads on track and under the appropriately sized, highlighted green headings.
You want moderation because deep down in places you don't talk about at parties, you want me on that forum -- you need me on that forum. We use words like "stay on topic," "use the appropriate forum," "please delete." We use these words as the backbone of a life spent defending something. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very moderation that I provide and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather that you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise, I suggest you get a green handle and edit a post. Either way, I don't give a DAMN what you think about moderation.

I used to reside in the top right quadrant. I've gradually migrated to the far bottom left.

Can we keep this about policy, please? These personal attacks have no place in Australian poltics.
PS Shifty's surname almost ends in a vowel, and has a squiggly line over a letter. So, you know....terrorist.

They're all pretty much the same. Thats why I cant understand this strange support many people have for one side over the other like they are a sporting team.
Politician's love the term 'pub test' but if a pollie walked into a pub I'm in I'd probably decide its time to call it a night and go home.

Re: The Politics Thread 2018
It's time to burn down the liberal party and salt the earth. The conservatives can **** off to One Nation, Katter or whatever the **** Corey Bernardi has called his little band of racist homophobes. The rest can form the Sensible Moderates Party.

Labor hasn't been 'left wing' since Whitlam.

Well Morrison has invited Trump over for a possible November visit, what are the odds of them still being leaders by then?

Re: The Politics Thread 2018
Abbott not given a ministry
Dutton is back as home affair Minister, but they've taken Immigration out of that portfolio.
Probably be on again in a few months.

Christ, it's like the who's who of lunatic Queensland politicians on Q&A tonight.
Re: The Politics Thread 2018
Lots of yelling going on. Bit of a worry when George Christensen comes across as one of the more considered panelists.
