Yes
So you'd expect Woollies to cut costs .. like reduce their workforce yea ?

To be honest I don't really care I just thought I'd throw you a bone as it's painfully obvious you wish to argue the points of the budget that you believe/perceive to be negative, I'm more concerned with who's on the bench come Sunday arvo.

Above in some cases and they siphon money off the poorer catholic schools to put into the more prestigious ones. If they're banking millions in surplus they should hardly be screaming poor, how about funding on a needs basis. Guess they need the extra millions to pay off the child abuse scandals ;)

Probably when Tobacco overtook weed prices... actually I wonder if the same reason is why we had a recent string of Coke busts? Do I go with the 20 pack of Winnie blues or an eight ball of Cocaine?

Son, we live in a world that has forums, and those forums have to be guarded by Mods. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Nickman? I have a greater responsibility than you can possibly fathom. You weep for Lucy, and you curse GE. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know -- that GE’s moderation, while tragic, probably saved lives; and my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, keeps threads on track and under the appropriately sized, highlighted green headings.
You want moderation because deep down in places you don't talk about at parties, you want me on that forum -- you need me on that forum. We use words like "stay on topic," "use the appropriate forum," "please delete." We use these words as the backbone of a life spent defending something. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very moderation that I provide and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather that you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise, I suggest you get a green handle and edit a post. Either way, I don't give a DAMN what you think about moderation.

Ignoring most of the article because the amount spent on travel is a misrepresentation of actual amounts, how do you spend $12,000 on telephone and internet charges (I'm assuming it relates to a 6 month period too). Wouldn't you see the bill for the month (oh it's $2,000 for the month?) and do something about it?

Yeah get nutters on both extremes and possibly it's bias but I'm struggling to think of any that match those three.

The hard right tend to be more offensive on social issues.

The hard left tend to save their offence for economic type issues.

To be fair though, Christian religions combined still smash No Religion out of the water.

I think what's more alarming for me though, based on the last twelve years of data, if Islam continues to grow at the rate it's currently growing in Australia, it will comprise a third of our population in only another 244 years!

Rapid decline though, 2006 total 64%, 2011 61%, 2016 52%, next census it's a safe bet to drop under 50%.

Combined is also tricky, they only count themselves as one group when it suits their agenda but they regularly claim the others are not "true Christians", Catholicism especially is targeted by other Christians as not being Christian.

What I found surprising though is the decline in Buddhism, with all the new age BS I thought that would continue to climb.

Buddhism probably hasn't really dropped or grown when you consider the population has likely grown. It's a statistical insignificance to remain between 2 and 2.5% over the last twelve years, in my opinion.

The only significant trends I see in religion is the rise in "No Religion" over the past twelve years. Everything else is noise in relation.

Still not an accurate number but getting closer, the amount of people I've seen state they don't believe but still ticked what they were raised as or believe they are culturally, oh well at least it's improving.

I dunno, if those test missiles actually find their way to Guam one day, NK might not give them many other options.

Especially considering Trumps plan so far is to just goad them back

My biggest concern with the Trump presidency is that the world needs adults. Kim Jong-un/Il/Sun have made a dynasty by mouthing off at America, who smile benignly and pat them on the head, perhaps suspending shipments of Johnny Walker Black for a month or two. That's been all quite comfortable for the last 60 years, with odd airliner bombings, Burmese presidential assassinations, commando raids, submarine incursions and shellings all being part of a mutually understood background game.

And now Trump starts imitating the other guy! Now we have BOTH sides demanding seas of fire be rained down upon the other bloke. Our friend in Pyongyang probably choked on his early morning green tea to hear it all spouted back at him.

I find it really unsettling. This whole 38th Parallel thing has played out with all the form of classical Kabuki. If one side changes the rules....I dunno....seems like a bad idea.

Is Trump going to nuke Pyongyang? No. He's batty, but not that batty. But all military options in North Korea are bad options, which is why there's still a North Korea.

Much better that we all get back to the rules of the game, methinks.

A demilitarised, South Korean led peninsula? I reckon China would take that in a second. Don't confuse the politics of 1950 with now.
