Drunk Queenslander forces Virgin plane to land in Bali

Post by Schifty »

Bali's police chief has told local media in Indonesia that a Virgin flight from Brisbane has been hijacked.

He says the plane has now landed in Bali and is sitting on the tarmac at the airport in Denpasar.

More to follow.

The spiral of silence refers to the idea that when people fail to speak, the price of speaking rises. As the price to speak rises, still fewer speak out, which further causes the price to rise, so that fewer people yet will speak out, until a whole culture or nation is silenced. This is what happened in Germany.

If you do not speak, you are not being neutral, but are contributing to the success of the thing you refuse to name and condemn.

Just said during the telecast that it was an inebriated passenger who tried to get into the cockpit. So they landed the plane and he's been arrested.

QLDER!!!

An Australian man has been detained after banging on the cockpit door of a Virgin Australia plane flying to Bali, and causing a hijacking scare.

Matt Christopher Lockley, 28, a Queenslander Plumber, was apparently drunk and aggressive, and had to be restrained by the crew on Friday's flight from Brisbane..

http://www.sbs.com.au/news/article/2014 ... ive-flight

can I have my thread title changed back now?

*edit* Cheers to the Admin that did this :)

There's a good reason Will and Kate didn't go to QLD.

Imagine if they sent them to Caxton Street on Origin night.

We'd be kicked out of the Commonwealth.

Was at the airport in Bali when this went down. Was freaky at first, no one telling us anything. Only found out by going onto the SMH site. At KL now.

Even when overseas, drunk yobos still ruin my holiday

All just reinforces the fact we should grant QLD independence.

Although any resident wishing to leave would be allowed to. After a few months we'll shut the border.
