yeah, your probably right, the Sargent At Arms of the Hells Angels is actually probably a really good bloke, completely misunderstood... he's a Motorcycle enthusiast who probably have never has so much as jaywalked!

Goodness me. Fantasy land indeed.

he can be any one of 1 or 1000000 and my opinion on him is going to be the same... he's probably not a law abiding citizen... no scrap that, im willing to say categorically EVERY Sergeant at arms of EVERY OUTLAW Motorcycle gang is not only a violent thug and a ****, but a man up to his **** ears in criminal activity

You excuse me for not giving a single **** about what law they finally got a scum bag like that on.

Innocent until proven guilty doesnt exist where these laws are concerned and that is my beef with it. If 5 bikies are having a beer or a feed somewhere who **** cares??? Call the cops and legal people when they start committing real crimes....

Sergeant at arms is usually the hit man. If you owe a bikie money, it's the sergeant who sends boys to talk to you.

Bikie hierarchy is quite complex and varies from gang to gang, but each bikie is basically his own ' business'. He is initiated (which contains such behavior that would make some of you cringe) then he earns his colors. He can earn patches via any number of means and again according to gang. Most bikies traffic drugs or firearms, sometimes both. They do this via a front like a nite club or tattoo shop. Sometimes even mechanical shops and gyms.
Each bikie pays a % age back to the gang, and this is where your saa comes in. You don't want to get in his bad books.

 my thoughts exactly
I dont care if they picked this guy up buying toys for an orphaned child, if he's a SAA of a Outlaw Motorcycle gang, he's a **** who should be behind bars.
It's really simple guys, dont join an organisation that by nature intends to break the laws and these laws wont impact you in the slightest

I swear some people just like to be morally outraged at everything in an attempt to feel superior to everyone else.

That's actually my thoughts on the subject.

But then that's my thoughts on most crimes. I don't care what extra powers they bring in to catch criminals.

is that not a fair point to make?
I mean a speed camera isnt going pick you up if your obeying the law.

This from a man who just (literally just then, before typing this post ) paid a $300 - 6 demerit speeding fine over the holiday period... i could complain about what a joke that all is, and how my driving was not dangerous and how im annoyed about losing 6 points instead of 3 because of the date this occured, and that i havent had a ticket in nearly 4 years so it's not as if im a hoon or something

but then again, i was doing 93 in an 80 zone. I was breaking the law. I got caught and now i just have to cop it on the chin.
If i was doing 79... hell even 85, i wouldnt be in this spot, but i wasnt, i was breaking the law and these are the consequences

Would you believe in Qld now you'll get fined for 1km over the limit.

Mums been fined twice in the past year for speeding, once when she was at work they busted her parked car doing 10km over the limit the other she was having cataract surgery and they busted what they said was her car (60km from where it was parked at home), idiots just entered 1 wrong number for the license plate when issuing the fine. Obviously she got out of both but not without some dramas and legal threats.

You can appeal those man bush, and most magistrates will overturn them too. There is a web site which helps you appeal radar and lidar fines as well.
As for speed cameras, I question their placement at times but the point remains; don't speed

Yeah appealing before a magistrate actually means wasting your time going to court as for Internet mums never been on it in her life, just took heaps of phone calls, a few letters and a call from a lawyer friend of hers.

Placement is a bitch, it's usually for revenue like at bottom of hills rather than high risk areas.

I do agree though, don't do the crime and you won't pay the fine. Couple of years ago I got a $200 fine for throwing a cigarette butt on the footpath in the city, guy gave it to me and I just laughed he couldn't believe it as everyone else abuses him or tries to talk their way out of it, I just told him he's doing his job and I **** up, my fault not his so why take my stupidity out on him.

That's fine. Mistakes happen. They make mistakes and i dont really care if they make mistakes and it causes some annoyance. They arent robots. So your mothers "plight" of dealing with an honest mistake doesnt worry me in the slightest. I can imagine how many **** get pinched and ring up trying to make the same argument your mother was making. She was in the right and didnt pay a fine. Most are just trying to get out of a deserved fine, so it doesnt worry me the cops being skepitcal of these claims and making people jump through hoops.

Also, i dont care if you can get done being 1km over the limit. Cars are made now so their actual speed is about 5-7kms or something below the speedo, so to get done 1km over the limit, they are already got leeway on the speedo, so to be speeding by 1km, probably sitting at least 8kms over on her speedo

i agree the placement on speed cameras are sometimes ridiculous, but the point stands pretty solid - Dont Speed.
It's the same with these bikie laws... Dont be a bikie and you're going to be just fine.

That's fine if everyone's driving new cars fact is though most people aren't. I'm all for speed cameras don't get me wrong but their accuracy isn't good enough yet for 1km being enough to cop a fine.
