Press for truth

Post by Crusher » January 6, 2009, 4:54 am

This is the story of some of the families of the victims of the September 11th 2001 attacks and their struggle to find out what happened to their loved ones.
9/11: Press for Truth follows three of the Jersey Girls (widows of individuals killed in the attacks) as well as other family members in their search for answers about what really happened on 9/11. Among their questions were:

* Why had NORAD failed to protect the known terrorist targets, the World Trade Center and The Pentagon?
* Why did the World Trade Center Towers, as well as Building 7, completely collapse when no other steel-framed skyscraper had ever previously totally collapsed due to fire?
* Why did George W Bush stay in a Florida classroom for over 10 minutes after he had been told that the second Tower had been hit?

The film uses archive news footage, press conferences and newspaper clippings to document the unwillingness of the George W. Bush administration to provide answers to the families' questions or support a full independent investigation.

I had to explain this only the other day, using 'no one' when it is clearly a false statement is never wise.

I find it extremely sad that some people are completely prejudice and unwilling to even think for themselves.

If you think the idea is so 'funny,' then please, by all means, explain to me why this is so.

Press for Truth is a time line documentary about the process that was undertaken to establish the 911 commission. This isn't about believing in something, it is about observing the facts, as they happened.

Did you even watch it? From your reply I'm going to go out on a limb and say you didn't even open the link, let alone take the time to make an informed decision on the movie. In this case, your opinion is null and void as you have no idea what you are talking about.

Watch it, you might learn a few things you didn't know, or it could reinforce what you already knew. How will you ever know without watching it?

Once you have watched it, if you still feel the same way, then like I said... come back and explain to me why you think so. I would love some constructive criticism from you as to why you think it is 'funny people actually believe this kind of thing.'

Yes, I was a fan of his since his debut and have been very disappointed with his inability to step up to the next level because of a combination of injuries + suspension.

And this is relevant because?

But please, this topic is not about BS, not about scoring points in some (while fun) insignificant 'game.' This is about me, as a human being, trying to help spread the word about something I believe to be EXTREMELY important.

If you have criticism on the topic at hand, I would love to hear it, otherwise, save it for the other threads ok mate?

I would like to see the evidence of Santa apart from some left over food that your dad snuck out and ate during the night! See the difference between Santa and 911 is that 911 actually happened, unfortunately. We all know it happened. That is not what is important.

Bush sat there for ten minutes reading a book about a pet goat because all he is ever been is a brain dead front-man for the Cheney-Rumsfeld regime with no capacity for intelligent thought and there wasn't anyone around able to tell him exactly what to do.

If you watch Press for Truth it explains in excruciating detail that there were numerous warnings about imminent attacks prior to 911.

For a list of some of the warnings see: http://www.historycommons.org/timeline. ... y_warnings

As you can see, there were many. Perhaps one of the best examples I can give you is this:
August 6, 2001: Bush Receives Briefing Titled ‘Bin Laden Determined to Strike in US’

President Bush receives a classified presidential daily briefing (PDB) at his Crawford, Texas ranch indicating that Osama bin Laden might be planning to hijack commercial airliners. The PDB provided to him is entitled, “Bin Laden Determined to Strike in US.” The entire briefing focuses on the possibility of terrorist attacks inside the US. [New York Times, 5/15/2002; Newsweek, 5/27/2002]

The analysts who drafted the briefing will say that they drafted it on the *'s initiative (see July 13, 2004), whereas in 2004 Bush will state that he requested a briefing on the topic due to threats relating to a conference in Genoa, Italy, in July 2001, where Western intelligence agencies believed Osama bin Laden was involved in a plot to crash an airplane into a building to kill Bush and other leaders (see April 13, 2004). The analysts will later explain that they saw it as an opportunity to convey that the threat of an al-Qaeda attack in the US was both current and serious. [9/11 Commission, 7/24/2004, pp. 260]

The existence of this briefing is kept secret, until it is leaked in May 2002, causing a storm of controversy (see May 15, 2002). While National Security Adviser Condoleezza Rice will claim the memo is only one and a half pages long, other accounts state it is 11 1/2 pages instead of the usual two or three. [New York Times, 5/15/2002; Newsweek, 5/27/2002; Die Zeit (Hamburg)

http://www.historycommons.org/context.j ... 1ranchmemo
*Heard and seen too many experts shoot this one down to believe it, and i dont have the knowledge of buildings to comment so ill leave it in the experts hands
What exactly don't believe about it? What caused the collapse? Or how it is impossible for the buildings to fall the way they did due to the collisions of the aircraft? How do you think they fell?
*If this happened to me, i must admit i might stay where i was for awhile, gather my thoughts and form a plan rather than just run off in a hurry, he would have achieved nothing by leaving immediately, better to get your head together first
Rather than doing your job, and acting immediately to prevent the hijackings of flight 77 and 93 (Pentagon and Pennsylvania) that were yet to take place at the time Bush was informed.

Ok, fire is your answer...
Clearly the towers did not collapse because of the plane impacts alone, because both towers stood for 45 to 90 minutes after impact. The official explanation, parroted faithfully by the mainstream media, is that the towers collapsed because burning jet fuel caused the steel girders supporting them to melt. Let us examine this hypothesis as to its credibility.

Much (perhaps, in the case of the second impact, as much as two-thirds) of the jet fuel was consumed immediately in the fireballs which erupted when the planes hit the towers. Furthermore, according to one FEMA investigator (Jonathan Barnett), most of the jet fuel which managed to enter the towers was consumed within ten minutes.

The Twin Towers were giving off a lot of black sooty smoke, but there was little fire visible. But to melt steel you need the high temperature produced by, e.g., an oxy-acetylene torch. Jet fuel burning in air (especially in an enclosed space within a building, where there is much smoke and little available oxygen) just won't do it. And if the steel columns had melted, would this have produced the implosive collapse observed? If the columns had melted it is unlikely that the resulting structural weakness would be completely symmetrical (as required when a building collapses upon itself in a controlled demolition). Irregularity in an uncontrolled collapse would have produced the kind of collapse in which concrete and steel girders would have rained down over a wide area (causing huge damage to the surrounding buildings in lower Manhattan and many fatalities among their occupants). This did not happen. These considerations (and others, given below, concerning the probable maximum temperature of the fire) show that the claim that thousands of liters of burning jet fuel produced a raging inferno and caused the steel columns to melt is extremely dubious, and does not account for the collapse of the towers.

http://www.serendipity.li/wtc2.htm
Never before, or after (with the exception of WTC 7 which was demolished on the same day) has steel framed building collapsed due to fire. In fact there are numerous cases of sky scrapers burning for far longer, far more intensely than either of the twin towers did, and not even look like falling.

As the above quote mentions, assuming fire did cause the buildings to fall, it still does not explain how the towers BOTH fell into themselves, straight down into the most resistance in nearly FREE FALL SPEED. That is a hell of a lot of sky scraper giving way in a matter of seconds, which is impossible without getting at the under infrastructure of the building (ie demolitions). IF the buildings had of fallen and not been demolished, then they would of actually fallen down, not disintegrate like they did.

And, if you wanna know how bombs could get in there?
The World Trade Center was destroyed just days after a heightened security alert was lifted at the landmark 110-story towers, security personnel said yesterday [September 11]. Daria Coard, 37, a guard at Tower One, said the security detail had been working 12-hour shifts for the past two weeks because of numerous phone threats. But on Thursday [September 6], bomb-sniffing dogs were abruptly removed. [NY Newsday]

http://whatreallyhappened.com/WRHARTICL ... urity.html
Guess who was a principal in a company called Securacom that provided security for the World Trade Center, United Airlines, and Dulles International Airport?

I will give you 1 guess at his last name... his first name is Marvin, and he happens to be the little brother of someone quite central to this topic...
How exactly could he have prevented them, and why need to go anywhere to do it, surely him or one of his aides has a mobile phone. This is an irrelevant matter as has more style than substance, what does him staying there actually show.
Ummm, NORAD (defense fighter jets that regularly intercept planes when a situation arises, they failed 4 times in the one day, watch Loose Change, it explains it all)? Maybe that's how he could of stopped the planes? Had he wanted to that is. In fact, Dick Chaney gave DIRECT orders NOT to stop the plane headed for the Pentagon.
9:26 a.m.) September 11, 2001: Cheney Given Updates on Unidentified Flight 77 Heading toward Washington; Says ‘Orders Still Stand’

According to some accounts, Vice President Dick Cheney is in the Presidential Emergency Operations Center (PEOC) below the White House by this time, along with Transportation Secretary Norman Mineta and others. Mineta will recall that, while a suspicious plane is heading toward Washington, an unidentified young man comes in and says to Cheney, “The plane is 50 miles out.” Mineta confers with acting FAA Deputy Administrator Monte Belger, who is at the *'s Washington headquarters. Belger says to him: “We’re watching this target on the radar, but the *'s been turned off. So we have no identification.” According to Mineta, the young man continues updating the vice president, saying, “The plane is 30 miles out,” and when he gets down to “The plane is 10 miles out,” asks, “Do the orders still stand?” In response, Cheney “whipped his neck around and said, ‘Of course the orders still stand. Have you heard anything to the contrary?’” Mineta will say that, “just by the nature of all the events going on,” he infers that the order being referred to is a shootdown order. Nevertheless, Flight 77 continues on and hits the Pentagon. [BBC, 9/1/2002; ABC News, 9/11/2002; 9/11 Commission, 5/23/2003; 9/11 Commission, 5/23/2003; St.

What is your conspiracy theory? How and why?

http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=kcrF346sS_I Lol interview too many idiots in it
LOL I actually have that P&T episode (along with the whole series) on my computer. I find it shameful how they dont actually deal with any of the claims made by the 911 Truth Movement (google it) and instead wheel out a couple of 'conspiracy theorists' and make fun of them the entire show. If you want to conduct a truly biased assessment of a situation, you simple don't include anything that could hurt your argument. This is something that P&T did very well in this case.

*edit*

And by the way, watch Loose Change (http://www.loosechange911.com/finalcut/), it features testimony from MANY (not one, but many) fire fighters who were there on the day and KNOW that it wasn't fire that brought the buildings down.
