You just pop into the Surveymonkey link, and vote for who you think is the better band/artist in the match up.

I've decided this year we will do it FA Cup style, so each round will be a random draw, rather than a set tournament style set up
So who do I like best or who is the greatest act? e.g. I'm a massive Police fan and owned all their albums but now way could I say they were a greater act than Ray Charles, who's music I have never owned.

That adds another layer to it, eg by greatest act, some could be great live, while others are a greater record artist.
Ultimately, its who do you prefer between the two, so in your case, Id say Police

Thats going to make it tough on any of those classic performers then. GE would be the only person here who listened to Little Richard on his wireless or bought a record for his gramophone.

Thats because the RS list was loaded up with old school American soul acts. Not as big a market for those here. The final 8 has a distinct British feel about it. Foos the odd one out.

Queen

Queen have come into this match the absolute powerhouse, having won by over 80% in each round. After beating Nick Cave 80/20, they then proceeded to steamroll White Stripes 88/12, followed by Pink Floyd 86/14 and finally their last round opponent David Bowie 83/17. With that said, they're about to square off against their toughest opponent yet, the reigning champions

The Beatles

Beatles started off in dominating fashion, showing Bruce Springsteen who's boss with a 100/0 decimation. This was then followed with a strong showing against Red Hot Chilli Peppers in an 88/12 thumping. From there, they've started to really get challenged, with a 71/29 victory against Foo Fighters, and a narrow 60/40 win against Led Zeppelin 60/40

All in all, I feel The Beatles have had the tougher draw. Who do you think deserves to take this out? Vote here https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/KWHQLVD. The winner will be announced on Monday, where we'll also kick off our next tournament

Yeah 100% Queen had the easier run. I really enjoyed doing this FA Cup style with randomising the draw each round. Are people happy with this style continuing, or prefer more or a traditional knock out style?

Re: New tournament: Nominations open - Best TV/Movie character

Post by FuiFui BradBrad »

Alright team, its time to organise the next tournament. This time, we're looking for the best TV or movie character.
  • Who has made you barrack for them the most?
  • Who have you jeered the most?
  • Who has hit you in the feels the most?
Like last time, we'll work out a list of 32 and go from there. I've learned my lesson from Rolling Stone, so there'll be no wildcards based on lists. Instead, all 32 will be decided by you.

For some inspiration, I'll give you a couple of lists you might find useful
IMDB's top 100 TV Characters: https://www.imdb.com/list/ls021496147/
IMDB's top 100 Movie Characters: https://www.imdb.com/list/ls001820608/

Nominations are now open, so tell me who you think is worthy of a place
