Ice cream spiders
Just watching BBL... the cricket... don't get me started!
But just saw an ad for a certain fast food outlet offering spiders!
Those are surely the best ever invention! I remember getting them down the Gold Coast when I was a kid at Greenmount. Perfect summer drink.
For those who don't know what they are... a scoop of ice cream... drowned in your favourite soft drink in a glass. Lime spiders, of course, were the best.

I remember a 7up spider in Singapore as a kid. Was fantastic.

Re: Ice cream spiders
I can remember as a kid buying a bottle of milk for 40c. I'd drink the neck out of it and this little old lady would add our favourite flavouring for 2c extra.
Excellent during the hot summer days..

The spiral of silence refers to the idea that when people fail to speak, the price of speaking rises. As the price to speak rises, still fewer speak out, which further causes the price to rise, so that fewer people yet will speak out, until a whole culture or nation is silenced. This is what happened in Germany.
If you do not speak, you are not being neutral, but are contributing to the success of the thing you refuse to name and condemn.

Yeah I never liked them either.
There is a certain fast food chain that does the best thick shakes. I’m lovin’ them!

Hey GE, I stayed at Greenmount when I was a nipper too. Can't say I recall the spiders but I do recall the jukebox on the stairs. I absolutely hammered Ernie's "Rubber Duckie" (I was maybe six) until a posse was formed to make me stop.
Re: Ice cream spiders
Hah! The other great thing about Greenmount was the snow cones. I guess they're called slushies these days.

Re: Ice cream spiders
that sounds nothing like a spider and a hell of a lot like a milkshake.
Re: Ice cream spiders
Lime first, and then in second creaming soda spiders were my favourite.
Cola and Lemonade werent too bad either but not in the class of the two above
