2016 Rd 25 V Sea Eagles: ploder or not

Canberra Raiders V Manly Sea Eagles
Brookvale Oval
Saturday 27 August 3:00pm

Without further ado, here s the now segmented weekly segment of ploder or not. As I can't tell whether this is about football or not, and because I know it is the vibe of it, it now finds its home in the weekly segment thread.

As usual, bold denotes a player or official for which the vibe is that they are along for the ride. They plod along the field, invariably just taking up space and oxygen that could've been put to better use.

Canberra Raiders

1. Jack Wighton 2. Edrick Lee 3. Jarrod Croker 4. Joey Leilua 5. Jordan Rapana 6. Blake Austin 7. Aidan Sezer 8. Paul Vaughan 9. Josh Hodgson 10. Shannon Boyd 11. Josh Papalii 12. Elliott Whitehead 13. Sia Soliola

14. Kurt Baptiste 15. Luke Bateman 16. Clay Priest 17. Joe Tapine 18. Brenko Lee 19. Shaun Fensom

Manly Sea Eagles

1. Tom Trbojevic 2. Jorge Taufua 3. Lewis Brown 4. Dylan Walker 5. Brayden Wiliame 6. Matthew Wright 7. Daly Cherry-Evans 8. Addin Fonua-Blake 9. Api Koroisau 10. Nate Myles 11. Martin Taupau 12. Jamie Buhrer 13. Jake Trbojevic

14. Matt Parcell 15. Josh Starling 16. Frank Winterstein 17. Siosaia Vave 18. Blake Leary

Officials:

Referees: Ben Cummins, Tim Roby
Sideline Officials: Ricky MacFarlane, Adam Reid
Video Referees: Bernard Sutton, Bryan Norrie, Jason Robinson

Well, there you have it. As you'd expect, a team in red-hot form has no ploders. A team looking down on troops and spirit have 5. Expect a blood bath.

If you disagree, please pick the appropriate thread and post your commentary.
Gina Riley: Oh, come on, John. That’s a bit old hat, the corrupt IOC delegate.
John Clarke: Old hat? Gina, in the scientific world when they see that something is happening again and again and again, repeatedly, they don’t call it old hat. They call it a pattern.

@ReptarPloderOrNot - Buhrer is 100% Plod worthy. Absolute Plod machine, couldnt agree more. Great work with this weeks segment, according to the guidelines from GE this segment AFAIC this segment does qualify to be in the previews thread so I guess you could post it there and get the verdict from the horses mouth yourself

Absolutely. Not sure Toothless would like a belly rub after the photo shoot.

Rd 25 vs Sea Eagle - Frank's the cats view from a lap

Image

"Hi losers! You could all only hope to be winners like our boys are at the moment. To celebrate, I'm letting everyone give me a good ol' belly rub. I'm told it's good luck, for me at least. After spending time on the streets in my youth, I know wild, and Marty Kapow is wild as! Paps to give him a mighty lesson though - you can lead a horse to water, but us cats are not in the slightest bit interested in the water unless it's the perfect temperature and hasn't been sitting in the bowl for too long. I'm not sure about my new home in the Lime Lounge, I can tell you that even as a cat I'm a better rugby league analyst than Freddy Fittler."

I thought I'd let that thread continue to be about pig shooting and team lists for 2018. This is the new home for serious segments!

The hard hitting topics discussed right here!

Actually, you're right. Perhaps it's because they have no voice! The need their own segment, instead of just a segment of pictures!

The spiral of silence refers to the idea that when people fail to speak, the price of speaking rises. As the price to speak rises, still fewer speak out, which further causes the price to rise, so that fewer people yet will speak out, until a whole culture or nation is silenced. This is what happened in Germany.

If you do not speak, you are not being neutral, but are contributing to the success of the thing you refuse to name and condemn.
