His name was Pinky, hope this is an acceptable answer.
My question is " which Australian band is he only one to have three top five selling songs in the U.S billboard mainstream charts, with two of them going number one." Name the three songs for a bonus.
Technically the question was the name of the band! But I'll pay it Begbie. For those playing at home the band was machine gun fellatio.
On the next question, assuming Savage Garden is correct I think the songs would be "I want you", "To the moon and back" and I'm not sure about the third... Perhaps "Truly, Madly, Deeply" or "I knew I loved you".

Correct, your turn mate. btw savage garden only ever had one song in at number one but had a good scattering of presence in the top 50.
The Men at work number one songs were Down Under and Who Can it Be Now? with the other top 5 hit and my favourite being overkill. the reason they were on my mind was because as I drove up from Alice Springs to Darwin I had the best of Men at Work pumping out my car stereo. I must have listened to the same cd over 10 times in one day over the journey as I only had two other, the best of 10cc d And smash hits 89.
I must admit the early 80s were probably a weakish time for scoring international number one hits.

Double barrel question.
Graeme Strachan was the lead singer of which band, later going on to appear in which tv show?

Wasn't the one I was thinking of, but I do vaguely remember hearing that story of a show being pulled mid airing

Know what I hate?
I've had exs and ohs in my head all week
The spiral of silence refers to the idea that when people fail to speak, the price of speaking rises. As the price to speak rises, still fewer speak out, which further causes the price to rise, so that fewer people yet will speak out, until a whole culture or nation is silenced. This is what happened in Germany.
If you do not speak, you are not being neutral, but are contributing to the success of the thing you refuse to name and condemn.

Shirl hosted Shirl's Neighbourhood, Dirtiest Home Video was hosted by Uncle Doug Mulray and was pulled by the Goanna as he repeatedly showed a Dutch couple rooting in a park

Timmy is on leave so I might have another. Name the Aussie band who originally had a hit with "way out west" before James Blundell stole and massacred it.

Yep, I'm with Chicka, fed the question through my brain and a question mark came out of my ear. I don't know, the pretty bloke with the blonde hair that plays drums of the foo fighters?

Foo Fighters are the best, so I'd guess Taylor Hawkins?

Someone once asked John Lennon if Ringo Starr was the best drummer in the world and he replied 'he's not even the best drummer in the Beatles'.
Same might apply to Taylor.

Bit of an easy one.
What was Paul McCartneys response when asked how it felt to be the greatest songwriter alive?

Seeing Keith Sub-Urban with a Raiders jersey on had me thinking, what two teams did Alice Cooper and Snoop Doggy Dogg respectively "support" via on-stage jersey wearing?
