Craig Bellamy is massively over rated and single handedly turned some of the best attacking players of the modern era into a dour outfit that did its best to wreck the game of rugby league as a spectacle.

To be fair on Queensland, Reynolds and Hodkinson are one of the great halves pairings of the modern era. Pretty hard to overcome that sort of talent.

(Fair dinkum, was that the worst Origin team to win a series in the history of the competition?)

Barring the Super League war years, I can't think of a worse one.

I'm happy to take the win though...

Looking back, it was a miracle.

The only spine position NSW was stronger in was FB.

No miracle, NSW just has a spirit Qld can never understand or match. Add that to the first year in 9yrs that the refs haven't been totally one sided and it was inevitable.

So.. Canberra... what a **** hole.
Avatar Bet - bleedgreen99 - Raiders to make (BG99)/miss(Lucy) the 8. Avatar from last round of regular season 2015 until GF 2016.
Signature Bet - Raider85 - Raiders to get(Lucy)/miss(R85) the wooden spoon. Signature for entire offseason.
Bottle of something to the value of $70 - Matthew Borewood to not see (Lucy)/to see (Piggles) a first grade game in 2015 for the Warriors.
The Name Change Bet - Regarding the three bets above;
I win all three I keep my name.
I win one I become "the Punish"
I lose all I become "Chicken Little"

Ask GEM for his thoughts. He holds a huge number of beliefs that no sane human being can agree with, and is absolutely prepared to defend them to the death.

Son, we live in a world that has forums, and those forums have to be guarded by Mods. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Nickman? I have a greater responsibility than you can possibly fathom. You weep for Lucy, and you curse GE. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know -- that GE’s moderation, while tragic, probably saved lives; and my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, keeps threads on track and under the appropriately sized, highlighted green headings.
You want moderation because deep down in places you don't talk about at parties, you want me on that forum -- you need me on that forum. We use words like "stay on topic," "use the appropriate forum," "please delete." We use these words as the backbone of a life spent defending something. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very moderation that I provide and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather that you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise, I suggest you get a green handle and edit a post. Either way, I don't give a DAMN what you think about moderation.

So the A-League manages two 40,000+ crowds in two weeks. Surely in a generation (if that), it will be bigger than the NRL.

Time for the NRL to make some hard decisions and kick some teams out of the comp, for the good of the game.

That isn't an argument!

Oh yes it is!

No it isn't!

An argument is a connected series of statements intended to establish a proposition.
Gina Riley: Oh, come on, John. That’s a bit old hat, the corrupt IOC delegate.
John Clarke: Old hat? Gina, in the scientific world when they see that something is happening again and again and again, repeatedly, they don’t call it old hat. They call it a pattern.

I dont think there's too many "new" fans in that, just the existing deluded shouting really loud and trying to wake the giant.

The Socceroos remain 92nd in the world behind powerhouses like Upper Volta and considering the A league is made up of players who cant get a gig in that team and overseas pensioners enjoying the half an hour they have to prepare for a shot at goal it will settle back down to the spot its always had in the pecking order.

Support for the codes never really changes.

That said all for kicking some Sydney teams out of the NRL.

People are leaving the NRL in droves.

Meanwhile the Sydney derby has become the number 1 regular season fixture in Australian sport.

The public are tired of a blatantly rigged comp that favours 4 sides but preaches equality.

That said channel 9 want the current trend to go on as it inches them a step close to their wet dream of having a 4 team comp consisting of Souths, Brisbane, Roosters and Bulldogs with both games on Friday night which would free up Sunday afternoon for an antiques roadshow double header.

That said the increasing incarceration rate might threaten this plan..

Meanwhile the Wanderers have captured the imagination of the Australian public with their Asian champions league run beating Billionaire clubs on their way to the final in a run that is equivalent of Russia winning the Rugby League World cup*

Not really buying it, the Wanderers have tapped into rich vein of latent support, and good luck to them, but nearly all those people were already soccer supporters.

The idea NRL will be dead in 5 years or chanel 9 will lead into the sunday night news or show soccer at 8:30 on friday night is a long, long way away.
