For the Central Coasters on the GH, Mrs Fui and I are thinking of looking into possibly moving out of Sydney, and into the CC. Maybe even start by buying an investment and leasing it out until we’re ready to make the move.
Any suggestions on areas to focus on/avoid etc?

south of Umina and North of Catherine Hill Bay are great, rest is full of the lowest forms.

Seriously though there's some beautiful areas on the CC.
Terrigal is nice.

It depends on your timeline - there are a lot of areas with a traditional bad name that are having the whole area changed due to market price. Take Umina for example, has a bad reputation, but has had a massive change in the last decade due to its location (quiet, beachfront etc) and its access to Sydney (faster in a train to cbd than from western Sydney). If you were looking for an investment property a place like this would be a good start, as it hasn’t yet priced out the riff raff, but is on the way. Buy now, move in 5 years when it’s fully cleaned up.
With Sydney housing prices at here are a LOT of suburbs up here going through transformations like this.
If you are looking for a quick move, plenty of really good suburbs. Terrigal is great but poor access to freeway and trains. Norah head is gorgeous and quiet. There are some beautiful hinterland areas behind erina and the entrance as well.
I'm going to a baby shower on Saturday. My niece is due in April, she's very excited.
I'm still scratching my head at this...
Have fun. I’ve never been to one. Report back what they get up to
All the male family members are going, including my nieces husband. The girls will sit around and rub the tummy.. The guys will be in the backyard smashing stubbies..
This niece is a strange one, she got married on a Wednesday, on a beach, boardies+thongs were DOD !'
I'll give feedback..
I'm calling it now...its bollocks !!!

Come to think of it the missus would have already made an excuse for me if i was to ever be invited to one of those things, Its great when you know each other so well. Shes a good girl.
My eldest proposed to his gf of 5 years when they were in Japan a couple of weeks ago, he messaged last night to advise they’re thinking September next year for the wedding. Pretty excited to officially welcome the DiL (I call her pickle) to the fam.
Tomorrow is the first of what will be a traditional BBQ weekend. Last weekend of the month will be a right proper smoke off. Got some Babyback ribs for tomorrow, figure I’ll play it safe for the first one, and experiment next month.
Warming the Bbq from 11, aiming for dinner at 6, so the drinking should be starting around 10:30

At the same time, my Nudie cider is ready. But drier than I would have wanted. From what I’ve read it’s because Wine/Cider yeast tends to absorb more sugar, so it dries the batch out. I can either;
A. Put more dextrose into the mix at the start. This will also amp up the alcohol %
B. Use an Ale yeast, which doesn’t absorb as much sugar
It’s still drinkable, so I’ll be enjoying a dry cider in the meantime

Yeah I think A next time. Thing scaring me, mate said he did that, and made it like a beer without factoring in the sugar already in the juice. He wound up making rocket fuel.
With the ribs, I feel like I have them down pat now. Any ideas for this months bbq weekend? I’m thinking of giving beer can chicken a crack

How is everyone for toilet paper ?
World gone crazy..
I had imagined that the people of Canberra might be too sensible for this. But no, the local Supabarn shelves were almost stripped bare of it yesterday. Just half a dozen packs of Black and Gold no brand left.

There's none in LakeMac. It's a valuable commodity.
Fast food drive thrus are accepting rolls instead of cash.
1 Big Mac value meal = 3 rolls.
A public toilet was ram raided in Lemon Tree Passage last night..all toilet rolls stolen..truth.

People fighting over bog roll. We're nearly out and I'd be pretty annoyed if there's none left on the shelves and people walking out with trolley loads of the stuff.
