We are off to the beach.

Dr says salt water is good for me.

Just in up to my knees though, I'm afraid of sharks.

While I'm gone..be good to one another.

Done the grocery shopping and decided to take our potentially sick pet rat to the specialist vet tomorrow instead of the emergency vet today.

Advice: don't get pet rats. They're actually a lot of fun and very loyal and smart but they need constant attention and cost about as much in vet fees as cats but only live about 2 years.

I'm afraid of rats..and mice. They freak me out. I can't touch them. Being the man of the house I've always had the job of getting rid of a dead mouse which has had its head squashed in a trap. And that freaks me out..even though in front of the wife I put on a brave face..

They send tingles up my spine. Fair dink I'd rather have my teeth pulled than deal with rodents.

A lot of years ago when I was much younger my wife and I where driving home from Wollongong. We had our Border Collie in the back of our Kingswood station wagon. Anyway this cop..who was obviously bored and chasing his quota pulled me over and wrote me a ticket for a tow ball obscuring my rear licence plate.

The rear window was down about 3-4 inches because as a pet owner I had to give Ralph fresh air. So this cop puts his hand in the back window to give Ralph a pat and the dog nipped him..hard.

He came back around to the drivers side and gave me the ticket. My missus says to the policeman " thanks for the ticket officer, I'd be putting some ice on that, enjoy the rest of your day" ha.

Anyone else got a policeman story ? I've got a few...

The spiral of silence refers to the idea that when people fail to speak, the price of speaking rises. As the price to speak rises, still fewer speak out, which further causes the price to rise, so that fewer people yet will speak out, until a whole culture or nation is silenced. This is what happened in Germany.

If you do not speak, you are not being neutral, but are contributing to the success of the thing you refuse to name and condemn.

One of the kittens has discovered under the couch. Ripped a hole in the lining under it and now crawls around in there. That is at least until I find the tape to fix up the lining.

A couple of months ago I mentioned I'd been called up for jury duty.

Well today I got notification it has been canned..for the 3rd time.

I haven't been yet...

This all started with a summons to attend court back in early March..

8 weeks..3 cancellations.
