The spiral of silence refers to the idea that when people fail to speak, the price of speaking rises. As the price to speak rises, still fewer speak out, which further causes the price to rise, so that fewer people yet will speak out, until a whole culture or nation is silenced. This is what happened in Germany.
If you do not speak, you are not being neutral, but are contributing to the success of the thing you refuse to name and condemn.

Avatar Bet - bleedgreen99 - Raiders to make (BG99)/miss(Lucy) the 8. Avatar from last round of regular season 2015 until GF 2016.
Signature Bet - Raider85 - Raiders to get(Lucy)/miss(R85) the wooden spoon. Signature for entire offseason.
Bottle of something to the value of $70 - Matthew Borewood to not see (Lucy)/to see (Piggles) a first grade game in 2015 for the Warriors.
The Name Change Bet - Regarding the three bets above;
I win all three I keep my name.
I win one I become "the Punish"
I lose all I become "Chicken Little"

Not for sport Shez. The station owner often calls us to come out and try get rid of some problem feral pigs. They cause mass damage to his land and livestock. All pigs we kill are boxed and sold as either dog food or sent overseas.Shezza wrote:I must say though that I don't condone the slaughtering of animals for sport.

Feral pigs, goats, foxes and cats are a big problem in some areas.
I went out camping way out west a few years ago and the rangers were flying around in choppers shooting camels, brumbies, goats, pigs, cats, foxes etc etc. They made sure we stayed in our camping spot each day otherwise we'd end up in the sights of some guys M14

Re: The official Greenhouse Hot or Not Thread
Yes they are introduced. If you have a look at the ground it is all dug up. That is a very minor amount of the potential damage they can cause. A lot of livestock break their legs because of the dug up ground. Pigs are also known to kill livestock. They eat just about anything, including other pigs.Shezza wrote:Ok mate - that makes sense and I have no issue with that.

I actually prefer In Bloom.
In fact, it would be comparable to them as Achy Breaky Heart is to Bill Ray Cyrus.

Guess it was more of a reaction than a pose. Looks like he's doing the 'Jacksonville Jag Fan' pose without realising it.

I don't understand your disgust reaction TBH. Manchild clearly explained why they cull the feral population.

This photo really highlights it I guess.
PS thanks for pointing that out. I'm kindof sensitive about it.
Also, that never really happened. I think it's the sunglasses on my head.
