A "smart"phone for you would be one where you've got the numbers for Domino's, the local fish and chip shop and the TAB programmed into your speed dial, wouldn't it??

It's got nothing to do with your IQ mate, it's the fact that as a bogan you make me look like the Prince of freaking Wales.Nick wrote:If i were you Piggles, i'd leave the IQ jibes on the sidelines. Obviously I'd smoke you in the IQ stakes, I would never stoop so low as to bag you about your intelligence.

The fact you thought I was having a go at your IQ at all says it all really.
Good grief.

Re: The phone thread

Please don't tease me about my lack of understanding of Indian tigers, I'm actually quite sensitive about it.
Re: The phone thread
I doubt you have sensitivity about anything in the world you are easily the most casual guy I've ever met

That's not true. I often get a bit narky when I'm not served at the bar and it's clearly my turn. In fact, I've been known to stack on a blue about it.
Re: The phone thread
Ok, dropped my iphone 5 on the tar. Star cracked the screen, works fine otherwise.
Do I need new digitiser etc or just the outer screen?

Re: The phone thread
Should just be the outer screen then mate, any of those places in the shopping malls are fine. $100 would be cheap.

Re: The phone thread
Usually just the outer screen. Check ifixit for a disassembly guide. 5 and 5s are easy u think it's just a few screws and slide a new one on but 4s well forget about it you have to pull apart the whole phone it's easier just to pay someone. Sure I could have done it but I'd rather my time in this case.bonehead wrote:Ok, dropped my iphone 5 on the tar. Star cracked the screen, works fine otherwise.

The spiral of silence refers to the idea that when people fail to speak, the price of speaking rises. As the price to speak rises, still fewer speak out, which further causes the price to rise, so that fewer people yet will speak out, until a whole culture or nation is silenced. This is what happened in Germany.
If you do not speak, you are not being neutral, but are contributing to the success of the thing you refuse to name and condemn.

Re: The phone thread
It could be a faulty battery but I have been on the apple community forums and Im not the only one with the issue
Re: The phone thread
No matter what phone I get from now on I think I'll track down a battery case for it, having one for my iPhone has been great.
I bow down to thee oh great Nickman, the wisest of the wise, your political adroitness is unsurpassed, your sagacity is unmatched, your wisdom shines through on this forum amongst us mere mortals as bright as your scalp under the light of a full moon, never shall I doubt your analytical prowess again. You are my hero, my lord, my savior, may you accept my offerings so you continue to bless us with your genius.
Re: The phone thread
I had the galaxy and s2 4g.. They didn't seem to handle lots of apps really well.. Plus I find the iOS system a lot simpler

Had Samsungs the last couple of phones. They are great. Make sure you turn off the background data and apps when not using them and your battery will last longer.
