I know the feeling, on a much less challenging scale I entered another full marathon a month or so ago and almost instantly regretted it after hitting the button to confirm my entry, I'd Imagine(after looking at the UTA 100 course/elevation) i'd be in the fetal position sobbing for days if it was that I had entered!
Anyway Queenstown Full Marathon is next up for me, about 7 weeks away, was hoping to improve on my time I did in Christchurch in June but a lower leg injury/pain that I cant seem to shake means I'll just settle for finishing it.

Sooo.... maybe for a comeback MTB race is should have picked somewhere other than Canberra! Man there’s a lot of fast people around here

Ended up around 50/51 from 100 starters, fitness got me through but I’m missing a lot of technical bike skills.

That centenary trail through is amazing - you locals are very lucky to have something’s like that, the course was essentially Stromlo to pine island return. Very cool.

Great to catch up with Nickman for a beer and burger afterwards as well :thumbsup

That's basically my running trail.

And yeah there are some quick riders in town. Remember a few years back riding up Stromlo and Chris Jongewaard whizzed past me.... wonder if he's cycling or still in jail?

Hey Boney, I can’t recommend intermittent fasting enough if you want to drop weight. Just make sure you eat really well (plenty of greens) during your feasting window and only have water or black coffee/tea during your fasting window and the weight will just drop off.

You’ll find you have more energy than ever before too

Agree with Rickman Boney, I’ve dropped seven shirt sizes and gone from a 56” waist to 36” after intermittent fasting for the last couple of years

Ive never tried the fating route, but more than happy to be here in support mate - cant say enough for people willing to put in some hard yards for self improvement.

Good work, and looking forward to seeing the journey!

Id rather the fating route than fasting tbh

But seriously I lost about 12% bf (cause I dgaf about kgs) by logging my meals and having a Fitbit track my burned calories

IIFYM was the method I used, which is flexible dieting as long as you meet your 3 key macros (protein, fats, carbs)

knee is bad, feel good otherwise - intermittent fasting proving a bit difficult so far, I'm up before 5am for a 6.30 work start. Having breakfast eggs/steak at 5, lunch baby spinach/avo/salmon at 10.30, man shake at 1, dinner at 6.
walking/cliff young shuffle dogs twice a day plus 3x 20 sit ups. Bit sore but committed.
10 week challenge - $10- a head winner takes all $150- on the line.
6 days 2kgs down.

Good wee run this morning from coogee up to north of bondi and back, 23km, not used to all the steps! Think I've earned a few beers for the next couple of days!
Thanks god it wasn't as hot as yesterday!

Great run, the kms seemed to go by a bit quicker than normal even with all the steps and undulations, probably helps having such good views to take the mind off it

Haha yeah, it wasn’t too bad. Ran the whole course at least (including the **** off hill at the end) in about 30:30.

I’m a good three minutes off my PB now, but am happy everytime I run 5km without a rest. We’re in Melbourne again this weekend for Erin’s comp, but after that I’ll get back into it regularly.

Yeah, my knee's fine. I was having trouble with my back since grand final weekend, and it was tight for probably the first 1-2km, however it loosened up a lot after that.

Was a really good run, actually. Apart from the time, obviously.

The spiral of silence refers to the idea that when people fail to speak, the price of speaking rises. As the price to speak rises, still fewer speak out, which further causes the price to rise, so that fewer people yet will speak out, until a whole culture or nation is silenced. This is what happened in Germany.

If you do not speak, you are not being neutral, but are contributing to the success of the thing you refuse to name and condemn.

I ran the other day.

Well..let's say I broke stride.

I misjudged the distance between an approaching car and myself while crossing the road.

Left hammy real tight.

God you’re EDIT... why even bother coming into a thread where people largely talk about running and post an obviously inflammatory remark like that?
