Bloody hell mate, so sorry to hear that. Pet's have a special place in our hearts and lives, offering so much love and joy.

Take care mate

I will be fine eventually. Today i will take Frank and Yuki to say goodbye. Frank is distraught and is looking all over for his baby girl he helped raise from 11 weeks old.

The spiral of silence refers to the idea that when people fail to speak, the price of speaking rises. As the price to speak rises, still fewer speak out, which further causes the price to rise, so that fewer people yet will speak out, until a whole culture or nation is silenced. Thank you. Frank was anxious and looking for her all over the place. After seeing her yesterday he relaxed but is now sad. Yuki (who i don't think has ever featured here) is more upset for my partner and I although she was also sad after seeing her. Yesterday was a difficult day.

How long you been at your job?

I've been made redundant twice... first one paid for my wedding, 2nd one helped with the deposit on our house... Both times i managed to have a job lined up by my last day.....

Not always a bad thing.

I've been there just over 3 years. Got asked to come to a meeting this afternoon and told it was taking immediate effect. Get the 4 weeks notice paid out too.

Ah fair enough, i've always had 8 weeks notice... thought that was the law but it might be different depending on sector/state etc.

Hopefully something comes up nice and quick mate. Then the payout can be used to boost the bank balance or for a bit of fun.

haha. Frank, Violet and Jet were named by the shelters they were adopted from and the names suited so we kept them. Yuki was originally called Blanche, and we were having none of that!

I still think of your video showing violet walking on the clothes rack, and your story about Frank and violet clashing over the suit case.

Just participated in my first ever charity cricket tournament. Didn’t do too badly. It was 7 overs, 8 players a team.
Batting in the first game was bad. 3 before I got caught. Made up for it in bowling with a sweet 2/0

Rested in the 2nd game, but the third game I hit 13 off the bat, 1 boundary. Got hit all over the place with my bowling. Was still chuffed considering that team was made up of some semi-pro and BBL players.

All up, 2 wins, 1 loss and knocked out of the finals. Not too shabby for my first game.

Ruined... Betty our puppy passed away suddenly while at puppy school on the weekend... she was only 4 months old... one minute was having a ball wrestling with the other puppys, next minute she was laying down struggling... the Vets on site couldn't do anything for her...

We're absolutely devastated...
