Made - Luffty's hi jinx.

Ruined - The weekend thread being closed. How am I ever going to learn how to pick up now?
Avatar Bet - bleedgreen99 - Raiders to make (BG99)/miss(Lucy) the 8. Avatar from last round of regular season 2015 until GF 2016.
Signature Bet - Raider85 - Raiders to get(Lucy)/miss(R85) the wooden spoon. Signature for entire offseason.
Bottle of something to the value of $70 - Matthew Borewood to not see (Lucy)/to see (Piggles) a first grade game in 2015 for the Warriors.
The Name Change Bet - Regarding the three bets above;
I win all three I keep my name.
I win one I become "the Punish"
I lose all I become "Chicken Little"

Nickman - did you notice the flood levy on your tax return? It ended up costing a fortune ... thank goodness that is over.

Haha yeah. Funny thing is, I could've claimed the $1000 payout for living in a flood-affected zone and I wouldn't have had to pay the levy but I decided I didn't deserve it or require it.

What a loser...

Well I just figured the 1000 dollar payout was for people who really deserved it. Technically my house didn't go under water at all and although I had to catch a ferry to get home from Brisbane and leave my car in Gladstone for a few weeks it really wasn't that much skin off my nose.

Didn't realise at the time that it was a double-whammy, meaning not only did I not get the bonus, I also had to pay the levy. Possibly would've reconsidered it if that were the case...

Ruined: Paying my $1617 tax bill.
The spiral of silence refers to the idea that when people fail to speak, the price of speaking rises. As the price to speak rises, still fewer speak out, which further causes the price to rise, so that fewer people yet will speak out, until a whole culture or nation is silenced. This is what happened in Germany.

If you do not speak, you are not being neutral, but are contributing to the success of the thing you refuse to name and condemn.

I've spent all day pumped up for touch footy semis in just over an hour's time and now it looks like a storm is rolling in.

We just lost our touch footy preliminary semi-final 5-4. We were down 3-0 after about ten minutes, got to 3-1 at half-time, then got back to 3-3, then they scored, then we scored, and with a few minutes to go they scored from an intercept. Absolutely gutted.

Throw in the fact I scored an excellent try that was disallowed due to what I'm almost certain was a phantom touch. First time ever anyone's ever fallen for one of my dummies!

If it is any consolation, we lost our major semi tonight in basketball by a couple of points... we get a second chance next week though.

We won the minor semi last week 8-3 with a really complete performance. It didn't help today that we were missing our best playmaker, but we still should've got that one, 3 of their 5 tries were from intercepts!!

Plus we'd beaten these guys twice already this season...
