I once met someone that claimed to be Jesus' representative on earth and that he was meeting up with him the next day. I'm not sure how that panned out for him.

When you say lock it down - do you mean marriage or just a greater level of "commitment"?

By 'lock it down' I was definitely referring to marriage.

As for the driving range shenanigans, I think women generally respect you a bit more if your physical contact isn't obtained through subterfuge. Women aren't stupid, they see that crap coming a mile away - better to be up-front about it in my experience, they'll at least respect the honesty.

Possibly. I suspect it involved psychotropic drugs.

Call me what you want but I'm a little flexible considering no one has actually spoken to God/Jesus in over 2000 years and it's the Catholic church setting a lot of rules.

Um, there is this thing called prayer which is actually someone speaking to God/Jesus, and its been happening for a long time. ;)
The spiral of silence refers to the idea that when people fail to speak, the price of speaking rises. As the price to speak rises, still fewer speak out, which further causes the price to rise, so that fewer people yet will speak out, until a whole culture or nation is silenced. This is what happened in Germany.

If you do not speak, you are not being neutral, but are contributing to the success of the thing you refuse to name and condemn.

I wonder how god chooses who to listen to and help, the dying child, the parents of the autistic or handicapped, the teenager dying in a car wreck, the young girl wanting the new One Direction album. the unbaptised.....

Hey dude, let's just contain all that rubbish to the one thread. This thread is about having your day made/ruined and now dating.

My onfield 98 is that jersey with the nrl logo stitched over the superleague logo and a plastic oracle sponsor stuck on.

Soda pressing just made my night.

My today was bit like Luffty's. Ran out of petrol on the way to work. Roughly 6k from home and 10k from the servo, at a guess. I think I have 5 litres in a can and so I get out and start walking back down the highway. I've gone no more than a hundred yards when a car pulls over and tells me to get in. Pam you're a legend. To me anyway. She said I looked respectable enough (which worked for Ted Bundy), drove me to the servo, waited while I bought cans of petrol, and drove me back to my car... Fully whoohoo.

And I got to work late and it didn't matter; and I still left early.

So it was one of those days that started appallingly, improved massively thanks to random human kindness, and has now resulted in me on the greenhouse on a Friday night....

Actually, that's a few swings and roundabouts...

i don't usually care about celebrities dying... i just found out last night (2 years late) that the comedian greg giraldo had died... there is something deflating learning that a funny comedian has died quite young... and that really, really bad ones like kathy griffin are still performing...
