Whens my time, Kent!
The spiral of silence refers to the idea that when people fail to speak, the price of speaking rises. As the price to speak rises, still fewer speak out, which further causes the price to rise, so that fewer people yet will speak out, until a whole culture or nation is silenced. This is what happened in Germany.

If you do not speak, you are not being neutral, but are contributing to the success of the thing you refuse to name and condemn.

Plenty of rain today @ 2284.
Expecting over 100ml they say.
There's got to be at least 1 prop in all that.

There's a severe weather warning for residents living between The Entrance and Port Macquarie. Flash flooding the whole box and dice.

Stay safe people.

Yeah I had a couple of blokes from work who live in your postcode tell me this morning it was quite fresh. Didn't get that low @ 2284 but 3 degrees here is bad enough.

It's so cold I saw a politician with his hands in his own pockets....

Some huge winds gusting in Canberra, it feels like it should be snowing. The rain is being blown in at the windows horizontally.

Better keep them shut, then.
Gina Riley: Oh, come on, John. That’s a bit old hat, the corrupt IOC delegate.
John Clarke: Old hat? Gina, in the scientific world when they see that something is happening again and again and again, repeatedly, they don’t call it old hat. They call it a pattern.

It is a bloody glorious day in the TopEnd today. A bit of out of season rain makes it feel like southern weather.

The wind here is brutal. I had a gum tree lopped a few years ago but I should have had it stripped back more. I'm more worried about a tree in my neighbours yard. His yard sits a little higher than mine and if it fell or lost a limb it would hit my palace for sure.

Can I ask him to have it trimmed ? I think he's renting.

Anyway I wish this wind would pearce....
