I dare say yhou would have to explain what the costume has
to do with sparkles to everyone anyhows :doubt: (particularly non-League fans)
You would have looked less gay completely covered in
glitter, sequins and glossy lipstick

Yeah I know people are going to be asking the relevance, part of the idea. Conversation starter haha. Plus if Sydney's going to be as hot asit has been, smart idea to be partying in Footy Shorts and shirt I think. Plus my mate's a Sharks supporter, so once I'm done, I can hand over the jersey. Win-win

Was throwing people off all over the place on saturday, wearing my fave Raiders shirt, buying Cronulla stuff and getting my better 1/2 a Panthers Jersey for Xmas. People were getting lost.

*** Bump ***

So the theme for the 2013 Xmas party is 'Gatsby'.

Pretty cool theme, but everyone is going as Gangsta's and wearing pinstripe suits etc.

I'm looking for an outside the box idea. So far I'm thinking Bushy moustache, monocle, cane, pipe, pocket watch...
Anyone want to help a brother out?

Could go as one of Leonardo DiCaprio's characters from another movie and just say you got confused.

The only thing I remember from reading the book was the lighthouse with the green light on top, surely that was in the movie?

You could go dressed as a lighthouse?

I love both those ideas! They were stressing that the Gatsby dress code is sharp, clean dressed and the guys must suit up. I was going to rebel by going as a pipe smoking 1920s bomber pilot with a monocle. Even went as far as researching that monocles were popular up until after WWII and british fighter pilots were required to wear moustaches from WWI to WWII.

Just need to justify the pipe... but if all else fails, lighthouse it is
