Re: Schifty and Question's cooking thread
haha i saw that last night, he's was trolling them big time with that combination
Re: Schifty and Question's cooking thread
I thought that was the easier of the combos - salt and chocolate works quite well.
Bacon, Cauliflower etc - that would have been harder.
All of the winners had the vegemite combo.

the wife to be was loving it last night, ive long maintained that bacon not only goes with, but will improve everything.
Apparantly last night proved that to be incorrect

Wasn't she!! Alice is annoying, but is harmless. Reminds me of a particular nerdy type at school - super excited about impressing the maths teacher.

Re: Schifty and Question's cooking thread
Old fashioned recipe this one, but a good one, and smells great while cooking.
Lamb with pineapple
Put half a kilo of diced lamb into a slow cooker, add a thinly sliced onion, packet of french onion soup (you can leave this out, but it adds flavour), can of pineapple pieces with juice, can of cherry tomatoes with juice, pack of fat free bacon sliced. Stir it up a bit and cook four hours on high.
If you want the sauce a bit thicker, you can shake the diced lamb up with flour in a plastic bag and brown it before it goes in.
Serve it with rice.
You can also do it with apricot halves, throw in a few sultanas and shake in some cumin and nutmeg as well and it makes a lamb tangine with apricots.

Re: Schifty and Question's cooking thread
This probably deserves its own thread... but Iain "Huey" Hewitson - is he worst excuse for a "chef" you've ever seen? His show has become a comedy for me and my brothers..
His standard menu:
- A classic Aussie burger that serves about 8 humans - as long as one of them isnt him
- Some casserole, with 12 cloves of garlic, a pinch of salt that somehow turns into half the packet and enough stock to flood QLD
- Finished up with a pudding of a some description.
One episode, he had a guest on who was actually really funny and cracking some good jokes. Huey just tried to shut him down everytime
Has anyone been to one of his restaurants? The Lemon Tree, Cliche, Fleurie, Champagne Charlie's, The Last Aussie Fishcaf, Tolarno Bar and Bistro ...

Re: Schifty and Question's cooking thread
It is VERY easy.
I just cooked from fries straight from the bag.
Once they are cooked on piece of foil then cover them in Mexican Hot Sauce.
After that cover them in mozerella (I had a packet of pre-shreaded one) and pepperoni (already sliced) then put under the grill until the CHeese has melted.
That was the long version of the recipe, managed to give this recipe to someone to someone on twitter in 1 tweet last night

New Creation- Pizza Fries! Takes a small amount of effort in prep but the results were amazing.
Basically it's a pizza with no base and fries in its place

Re: Schifty and Question's cooking thread
Olives are awesome.
they also get the meal up to the 3xvegetable content which makes it nutritionally balanced.

Schifty and Question's cooking thread
Olives are stupid. Not only do they taste bad, they completely taint whatever they've been added to so even if you pick them off it still tastes like olives.
