National Schools U18 Championships HT: Queensland Secondary Schools 22 lead New South Wales CHS 6.

Raiders recruit Xavier Savage started on the bench, came on midway through the first half on the wing. Didn’t really get much ball.

Canberra Raiders signing Xavier Savage wins schoolboys championship with Queensland

The 17-year-old Queenslander Xavier Savage has signed a deal with the Canberra Raiders which could see the club to unleash one of the fastest players in the NRL. Savage won the under 17s 100 metre sprint title in a blistering 10.95 seconds at the Queensland junior athletics championships last year.

"I'll be flying down to Canberra for pre-season and I'll be training with first grade and see how I go," Savage said.

Wish him well for future prospects.
The latest round of the NRL schoolboys cup in Queensland was filmed by fox sports. I am not sure when it will be televised but Caleb Esera was an absolute standout for Wavell SHS against Keebra Park.

I can’t believe that a sport that has a billion dollar television deal charges kids to trial for junior reps squads.

As a family, we're beginning to get involved in rep footy for touch (run by the NRL) and union.

The difference is remarkable ... nothing is free at touch, and we're always being pushed to pay extras for bibs and bobs, while union is very, very well funded.

Seems strange to me.

Son, we live in a world that has forums, and those forums have to be guarded by Mods. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Nickman? I have a greater responsibility than you can possibly fathom. You weep for Lucy, and you curse GE. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know -- that GE’s moderation, while tragic, probably saved lives; and my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, keeps threads on track and under the appropriately sized, highlighted green headings.
You want moderation because deep down in places you don't talk about at parties, you want me on that forum -- you need me on that forum. We use words like "stay on topic," "use the appropriate forum," "please delete." We use these words as the backbone of a life spent defending something. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very moderation that I provide and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather that you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise, I suggest you get a green handle and edit a post. Either way, I don't give a DAMN what you think about moderation.

The Langer cup was live-streamed through the courier mail which ranks teams before they enter the NRL schoolboys section of the competition.

Games are now back to being live-streamed on Facebook through NRL schoolboys cup.

The two QLD games were not live-streamed this week due to being recorded for fox sports.

That Wavell Park v Keebra game was on Fox last Saturday morning. I saw some of it then taped it but what I saw Esera was very good. Commentators kept referring to the similarities between him and David Fifita from the Broncos.
