2017 Holden Cup Rd 3 preview: Raiders v Wests Tigers

How will the Raiders respond after last week's humiliating 74-12 loss at home to the Sharks? They'll be hoping history repeats after they lost 78-12 to the Cowboys in 2015, but bounced back with a two-point win the following week against the Tigers.

It's been hard to get a read on the Tigers after they edged the Rabbitohs in a Round 1 thriller, only to be thrashed by the Panthers the following week. Look for livewire fullback Ryan Papenhuyzen to chip in with a couple of tries.

Tip: Wests Tigers by 12

I have noticed that when these guys win, our main team tends to win. So this is a good sign.

Well, you were right.

Son, we live in a world that has forums, and those forums have to be guarded by Mods. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Nickman? I have a greater responsibility than you can possibly fathom. You weep for Lucy, and you curse GE. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know -- that GE’s moderation, while tragic, probably saved lives; and my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, keeps threads on track and under the appropriately sized, highlighted green headings.
You want moderation because deep down in places you don't talk about at parties, you want me on that forum -- you need me on that forum. We use words like "stay on topic," "use the appropriate forum," "please delete." We use these words as the backbone of a life spent defending something. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very moderation that I provide and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather that you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise, I suggest you get a green handle and edit a post. Either way, I don't give a DAMN what you think about moderation.

MATCH REPORT: NYC Canberra Raiders bounce back to smash Wests Tigers

The Canberra Raiders have beaten the West Tigers in a dominating display at Canberra Stadium today, winning 54 points to 10.

The Raiders found themselves on the back foot early in the match with the Tigers having possession of the ball for the first seven minutes of the game. The Raiders trailed 10-0 after less than 10 minutes, but then it was all one traffic for the Green Machine.

Canberra full back Harry Van Dartel received the man of the match in an impressive display at the back. He kicked 9/9 conversions for the afternoon.

Canberra Raiders 54 (Tuite, Kris 2, Murchie, Going 2, Samuel, Guler, Ketia-Opo, Van-Dartel 9/9) defeated West Tigers 10 (Lemuelu, Leuea, Leuea 1/2)
