Two from two Mounties. Well done again. For anyone who saw the game, how did Duggan go this week? Is he a possible for the NRL?
Re: 2017 Mounties
Doubt it, he was good last year but not good enough for a training contract for the off season. Limits to the second tier cap.RedRaider wrote:Two from two Mounties. Well done again. For anyone who saw the game, how did Duggan go this week? Is he a possible for the NRL?

Mounties bring Newtown Jets down to earth
Mounties have kept their perfect record to start the 2017 Intrust Super Premiership NSW intact with a big 46 to 28 win over the Newtown Jets.
An undermanned Jets outfit battling key first half-injuries offered little resistance in the match’s latter stages, as Mounties ran in eight-tries-to-five en route to the 18-point victory.
Daniel Mortimer and Malakai Houma were brought from the field before the change of ends, as Newtown played out the second period with just 15 men.

All Turner in that video. May be signed as a Sam Williams genuine half replacement with Stuart not seeing him as a centre at all

Son, we live in a world that has forums, and those forums have to be guarded by Mods. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Nickman? I have a greater responsibility than you can possibly fathom. You weep for Lucy, and you curse GE. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know -- that GE’s moderation, while tragic, probably saved lives; and my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, keeps threads on track and under the appropriately sized, highlighted green headings.
You want moderation because deep down in places you don't talk about at parties, you want me on that forum -- you need me on that forum. We use words like "stay on topic," "use the appropriate forum," "please delete." We use these words as the backbone of a life spent defending something. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very moderation that I provide and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather that you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise, I suggest you get a green handle and edit a post. Either way, I don't give a DAMN what you think about moderation.
Re: 2017 Mounties
I'm afraid you are doing the word 'awful' a disservice. If there is a word that is worse than abysmal then that might go close.T_R wrote:That defence was truly, truly awful

PREVIEW: Mounties V Penrith Panthers
Aubrey Keech Reserve, Saturday 18 March 3pm
Broadcast LIVE on Hawkesbury Radio 89.9 FM
Listen on line: http://hawkesburyradio.com.au/
Mounties and Penrith are two of five sides that take a perfect start to the season into their Round 3 matches, with one of the pair set to taste defeat for the first time in 2017.
Mounties impressed with a commanding win over the Jets last weekend, though will need to aim up in defence against a red-hot Panthers side intent on playing an attacking brand of football.
“I thought our defence was a bit scrappy there towards the end. That’s something to work on for next week,” said Mounties backrower Anthony Moraitis in the wake of his side’s Round 2 success.
The Panthers ran in 52 points of their own last week, over a Tigers side that had no answers for the free-flowing Penrith play.
“We’re not too worried about the (Tigers) result, we’re focused on how we can perform better week in, week out,” Panthers star Tyrone May told NSWRL.com.au after the Round 2 win.

MATCH REPORT: Mounties edge out Panthers in wet
It was billed as the game of the season between two teams who between them have arguably dominated the Intrust Super Premiership NSW with 2014 champions Penrith squaring off against 2015-16 minor premiers Mounties. But in Sydney‘s big wet it was Mounties who continued on their unbeaten ways with a hard-fought 16-6 win.
The Mounties forward pack led by Makahesi Makatoa, Anthony Moriatis and Scott Sorensen paved the way for the win, enabling halves Jordan Turner and Lachlan Croker to employ an effective kicking game in the conditions, while fullback Zac Santo was dangerous every time he touched the ball.
Mounties 16 (B Naden, M Kennedy, R Rennie tries; J Turner 2 goals) def Penrith Panthers 6 (M Rein try; D Nicholls goal)

Re: 2017 Mounties
Thanks GE. If Hodgo should be out for the Eels game it would leave Clydesdale to play most of the match. I see Mounties use Jarrod Brackenhofer as their hooker. I've not seen him play, can anyone give me a run down on 'the Hof' and his potential please?greeneyed wrote:Doubt it, he was good last year but not good enough for a training contract for the off season. Squaring off with Penrith in Round 3, Mounties ensured their unbeaten start to the year continued, and they’ll be out to keep their unblemished record intact when meeting North Sydney on Saturday afternoon.
The Bears themselves remain undefeated to start 2017 also, stringing together wins over Wentworthville, Blacktown and Newcastle inside the opening three weeks of the season.
Competition-leading try scorer Sitiveni Moceidreke will drop out of the North Sydney backline after making his NRL debut for South Sydney against the Sydney Roosters on Thursday night.
The imposing winger crossed for a try in his maiden first grade outing, backing up the four he scored for the Bears in Round 3.
