Terry Campese to return to Queanbeyan Blues

Post by greeneyed »

Have heard that Terry Campese will return to Australia to captain/coach the Queanbeyan Blues in the Canberra Raiders Cup in 2017.

If it happens... you heard it here first!

Both Aaron Gorrell and Simon Woolford turned out for the Roos and Blues in some games this year, as well as coaching. Woolford is 41 and Gorrell is 35. They pretty much just played in dinner suits and direct the team around. If you've got a playing coach in CRC they don't need to be out there every game.

Germ to coach the Knights sometime next year?
Gina Riley: Oh, come on, John. That’s a bit old hat, the corrupt IOC delegate.
John Clarke: Old hat? Gina, in the scientific world when they see that something is happening again and again and again, repeatedly, they don’t call it old hat. They call it a pattern.

I'd love to see him back and involved in footy. He was such an inspiration in the Raiders. So sad he was cruelled by injuries.

Terry Campese was always going to return to the Queanbeyan Blues — the former Canberra Raiders captain felt he owed it to his junior club.

"If it wasn't for the guys at the Blues I probably wouldn't be in the position I am. I probably wouldn't have had a career that I've loved and I'm proud of as well."

"Hopefully I get experience here and be successful and hopefully some opportunities come down the track.
