Nick Cotric was an absolute beast against the panthers. Hard to believe he's only 17. Going to have a huge future.

NYC Match Preview: Raiders v Roosters

The Raiders will be hoping to build on their exhilarating win against the Panthers with victory against the Roosters this week.

With only one change to the team that defeated the defending premiers, Zeik Foster comes into the side to replace the captain. Despite not having Croker available, White was excited about Foster’s opportunity.

“He’s trained with us all preseason. It’s always exciting when a new young kid gets a start, I’m sure he’s very excited,” said White.

I'd suspect no Croker has a lot to do with it

Teams struggle big time when missing one or two of their best halves... oh crap

Williams is rocks and diamonds. Made plenty of errors but has also more than made up for them with solid runs. The bloke is a beast.

NYC Match Report: Slow start costs Raiders

The Canberra Raiders NYC team weren’t able to recover from a slow start as they went down to the Sydney Roosters 22-32.

The Raiders brought parity back to the scoreline at the 68-minute mark with captain Zac Woolford. 10 metres from the try line, Woolford darted from dummy half weaving his way through the Roosters defense. A successful conversion from the try scorer made it 22-22.

However, the Roosters managed to claim a try against the run of play with ten minutes of play remaining. An inside pass allowing Connor Watson to claim his second four-pointer.

Roosters 32 (Watson 2, Garvey, Tuivasa-Sheck, Chalker, Manu Con Steadman 4/6) defeated Raiders 22 (T. Williams, Dole, J. Williams, Woolford Con Woolford 3/4)
