We seem to have trouble converting our toyota cup team of the year players into nrl standard players if you go through the list over the years

Congratz to him.
I feel like this is a 'no brainer' selection though. He was easily our best player, and a class above most of what I saw from any u20's team this yr.

Canberra Raider Tevita Pangai named in under-20s team of the year
Mounties NSW Cup coach Steve Antonelli believes Tevita Pangai is capable of being the next Canberra Raiders young forward to crack the NRL after he was named in the under-20s player of the year on Monday.
"There's still a few things he needs to work on to be up to that [NRL] level, and he knows that," Antonelli said.
"He just need to get those unforced errors out of his game. There's a spot there for him if he applies himself over the preseason. Fitness-wise he needs to be a bit better too but he's got all the skill, power and the right attitude."

Does PANGAI work?
Re: Tevita Pangai Junior selected in NYC Team of the Year
At times he was a class above the rest in 20s, but as we saw from yesterday he does make a few too many mistakes. He won't be able to offload like he does in 20s in first grade.

He had a team to carry yesterday. It won't be like that in first grade.Bay53 wrote:At times he was a class above the rest in 20s, but as we saw from yesterday he does make a few too many mistakes. He won't be able to offload like he does in 20s in first grade.

Gina Riley: Oh, come on, John. That’s a bit old hat, the corrupt IOC delegate.
John Clarke: Old hat? Gina, in the scientific world when they see that something is happening again and again and again, repeatedly, they don’t call it old hat. They call it a pattern.

He threw a beautiful cut out pass to the winger to set up a try last weekend. He's got great hands. Just gets stuck trying too hard sometimes.reptar wrote:Does he have nice hands?Ilanraiders wrote:Reminds me of Papali coming through the ranks!!
