MATCH REPORT: Holden Cup Canberra Raiders outmuscle Parramatta Eels

The Canberra Raiders Holden Cup team has defeated the Parramatta Eels 44-18 in slippery conditions at Pirtke Stadium. The Raiders sealed a spot in the top eight of the Under 20s.

Canberra Raiders 44 (Going 3, Cronan 2, Pangai Jr 2, Hickson tries; Woolford 3, McGrath 2, Solomon goals)
Parramatta Eels 18 (Izzard, Davis, Dockar-Clay, Gafa tries, Dockar-Clay goal)

Looks like Raiders play Wests Tigers in Finals Wk1, after Warriors beat Bulldogs. Raiders finish in eighth.

VIDEO: NYC In the Sheds: Kalani Going

Promising Holden Cup back-rower Kalani Going spoke to Raiders TV inside the sheds of Pirtek Stadium after his three try performance against the Parramatta Eels.

The 44-18 win by the Raiders in the Holden Cup secured the side a spot in the 2015 finals series.

Canberra, who finished the season in 8th position, will now take on the 5th placed Wests Tigers this Sunday at 1:30pm at Allianz Stadium.

I wouldn't have thought it would even be in consideration that he would make the first grade squad.

Thought with the lack of fronties on the books he might be offered a mounties/tier 2 deal
