I dont get that rule at all. So you can catch a restart with one boot out of touch but not a grubber?

He took 2 steps beyond the line before he touched it.

How can that be ruled anything but the Titans putting dead

Dumb rule

Although last night one of the Panthers touched it before that happened.
Gina Riley: Oh, come on, John. That’s a bit old hat, the corrupt IOC delegate.
John Clarke: Old hat? Gina, in the scientific world when they see that something is happening again and again and again, repeatedly, they don’t call it old hat. They call it a pattern.

The ball is still in play despite being so far over the line...fair call, not really sure why its a dumb rule?

if you are dead and touch the ball then it should be ruled that. Not that you took it dead.
It was the Titans error yet they get rewarded for it

It wasnt an error....the ball has to touch the ground for it to be dead...it didnt...fair and good call...you cant call a ball dead when its still playable (see inglis, naiqama)

if you stand dead beyond the dead ball from the kick off and catch the ball , its not deemed you took it dead, Why is it ruled differently

I still think it is. You are beyond the dead ball line , you are out of play. You touch the ball then the ball is out of play. Not you taking it out. Fair enough if you haven't touch the ground before touching the ball. But not if you have grounded yourself beyond the dead ball line 1st

He is not mentioned once in that article but I thought Pangai was a class above the rest yesterday.
