46th min TRY KIWIS to Nikorima out wide. Looked fairly simple in the end. Dockar Clay misses the goal from the sideline.
Kiwis 14-10

Re: Junior Test Match: Kangaroos V Kiwis
54th min TRY KANGAROOS to Valentine Holmes, again a try in the corner. It looked too easy for the Kangaroos. No goal Gutherson.

Kicker taken out
Re: Junior Test Match: Kangaroos V Kiwis
80th min Austalia kick off, it doesn't go 10m. They get a penalty as New Zealand grab it without giving the ball the opportunity to go the 10.
The field goal shot from the Kangaroos misses! Now the Kiwis are set to be penalised for a late shot on the kicker!

Going for goal and the win
Re: Junior Test Match: Kangaroos V Kiwis
Pretty rubbish game dominated by middle third players. Understandable given the conditions.
I thought Mago gave his usual solid 80 minutes. He really runs good lines, turns up for every decoy and doesn't overplay his hand defensively. I think he will play a lot of first grade next year.
Pangai Jr was very aggressive and had some good runs. He has to make his hits stick though as every time I watch him he comes up with some bad shirt grabbing. You can see the raw potential though.
I thought Cherrington was the best on the park.

Yeah!! #kiwipassion
Re: Junior Test Match: Kangaroos V Kiwis
Pangais shirt grabbing defence is very lazy. Shooting out of the line and not sticking is just putting pressure on the rest of the team. Didn't see anything from either that makes me think we will see them next year in the nrl

Junior Kiwis win in one point thriller
The Junior Kiwis have overcome a highly-rated and experienced Junior Kangaroos side to win their first trans-Tasman test in three years, running out 15-14 winners at Mount Smart Stadium on Saturday night.
A dramatic opening to the match, which saw the young Australians advance on the pre-match haka in scenes reminiscent of the 2008 World Cup Final, flowed right through until after the final siren as the Kangaroos fell metres short of nailing a game-winning penalty.

Canberra Raiders teenager Patrick Mago played for ill father
The Canberra Times reports that young Raiders star Patrick Mago played for Australia in the junior Kangaroos V Kiwis Test match last weekend in Auckland under the pressure of family illness, after his father was hospitalised during the lead up to the match. Mago will press for promotion to the NRL team in 2015, and will spend the off season with the top squad.

Sounds like a good kid. Hopefully he sticks around for the long haul.
