BAPTISTE and PAGE selected QLD residents Team

Post by BluntForce »

Kurt BAPTISTE and now Luke PAGE from SLM and the Canberra Raiders have been selected into the QLD Residents team that plays the curtain raiser to State of Origin 111.
BAPTISTE and PAGE have played a lot of junior footy together and will once again combine for their state against the old foe NSW.
Well done to both of these boys as they have been standouts week in week out for their respective sides. :thumbsup

Should be a good game
The spiral of silence refers to the idea that when people fail to speak, the price of speaking rises. As the price to speak rises, still fewer speak out, which further causes the price to rise, so that fewer people yet will speak out, until a whole culture or nation is silenced. This is what happened in Germany.

If you do not speak, you are not being neutral, but are contributing to the success of the thing you refuse to name and condemn.

I think you will find that he has been included in this side to play... Apparently on of the selected players will be playing NRL this week and PAGE is the replacement.
Good to see a 6 Raiders being selected in these sides.

Luke Page called into Queensland Residents side

Raiders front-rower Luke Page has been called into the Queensland Residents side which will take on the New South Wales Cup representative side on July 9 before Game Three of the State of Origin Series at Suncorp Stadium.

Page was signed by the Raiders in May from the Burleigh Bears and has since been outstanding for the Magpies up front in the Intrust Super Cup.

The 23 year old will join Canberra and Souths Logan team mate Kurt Baptiste in the Maroons side with Baptiste selected at starting hooker.
