Brenko Lee and Batemann off to Logan? :hmmm
The spiral of silence refers to the idea that when people fail to speak, the price of speaking rises. As the price to speak rises, still fewer speak out, which further causes the price to rise, so that fewer people yet will speak out, until a whole culture or nation is silenced. This is what happened in Germany.

If you do not speak, you are not being neutral, but are contributing to the success of the thing you refuse to name and condemn.

Looking forward to seeing how Lewis looks, Croker too. I think it's a much better strategy to get some young playmakers in the team and have this as their learning year while Bateman, Lee and the likes get a chance in NSW/QLD Cup so they can have a real crack at winning the U20's comp in the 2-3 years after this one.

NYC Match Preview: Raiders v Panthers

The Canberra Raiders NYC team returns to GIO Stadium Canberra this Sunday to take on the Penrith Panthers, with a host of fresh faces making their NYC debuts.

Coach Mick Mantelli had warned the squad that a lack of performance would see players lose their spot, Mantelli admitted that the 54-0 loss on Saturday was the tipping point in naming the SG ball players.

“It’s the first time I’ve had access to them, if we played better I wouldn’t have put so many in, but the performance was poor, I need something new, something with a bit of energy and excitement.”

Of the changes Jake Wheeler, Trent Schubach and Kilu Pangai have all been dropped from last weekend’s team. Andrew Heffernan will miss with a knee injury, while Jack Creith returns from an ankle injury.

I wasn't going to watch this game based on seeing most of last week but our defence is SOLID... Hopefully they have been training with the first grade side and that defence will be universal.

What a delicious ball from Laccie Lewis to put another try on.
That's a good sign for the blood lines!

I like this Brett Soloman, not a Shannon Boyd type where he's so big, looks a more mobile 2014 type of front rower

That's such a 20's mistake to make... foot over the line and catch it, don't leave it to chance like that.

A lot of weak penalties were going against us there for stuff they let Penrith get away with, I do find the refs in the under 20's try to "even it up" far too much.... It's under 20's not under 10's, if they can't handle being behind then meh...

And good try, we needed that to stop the bleed!
