Let us hope that they perform better than the game against the Cowboys. I know this is a new side with lots of changes from the past couple of years and I guess we have been spoilt by a quality side in the past.

NYC Match Preview: Round 2
Coach Mick Mantelli has named four changes to the side that played at 1300 Smiles stadium last week. The team will be bolstered by the return of Co-captain Luke Bateman who was a late withdrawal from the side last week through injury. He is joined in the forwards by Tevita Pangai Junior with the monster second rower returning this week to face his old club the Knights.
“They bring a wealth of experience and leadership into the line-up this week, they played for most of the year in the side last year and they’re both good players,” coach Mick Mantelli said.

Soloman bounces back to claim Raiders starting spot
Queanbeyan Kangaroos Brett Soloman will make his starting debut for the Raiders under-20s against Newcastle this weekend. "This year I tried to have a big pre-season. Last year I let it slip a bit," Solomon acknowledged. "I played a lot more local footy last year, so this year I thought, 'no, I want to step it up and have a big pre-season'. Hopefully the coach [Mick Mantelli] has been impressed [and] now I've just got to show him what I've got and just hold that spot. I thought about giving up. [But] I was talking to the boys at the Kangaroos and they told me never to give up. Just the solid heads the older boys have got on their shoulders, they're good to listen to. Playing with Goz [Aaron Gorrell] especially, it give me the extra drive really. So that's when I started enjoying footy again."

This isn't being shown on Fox?
Re: 2014 Holden Cup: Rd 2 V Newcastle Knights
No, the coverage of Holden Cup is downgraded this year, due to the decision to put the NSW Cup on just before the NRL match when there are three games.

Bugger! Was hoping to watch the u/20's go around. Looks like the Q Cup on 9 will have to do for a footy fix till the main game.
