Canberra is making error after error in their own half, no make that their own red zone. Cowboys scrum 10m out.

TRY COWBOYS, they're just riding roughshod over the Raiders now. Conversion missed from close quarters, hits the post and bounces back.

Cowboys 36-14 with 25 mins left.

It will take them time to form combinations after so many of the key players from previous years have moved up.

Kick to Saipani in goal is mishandled. Cowboys scrum 10m out, but the lose the ball on an early tackle.

Now another error Canberra on their own 40m line.

TRY RAIDERS to Andrew Heffernan. Some bright play from the half, in a match missing it for Canberra.

Cowboys 36-20 with 16 to go.

Well this hasn't been good..
Avatar Bet - bleedgreen99 - Raiders to make (BG99)/miss(Lucy) the 8. Avatar from last round of regular season 2015 until GF 2016.
Signature Bet - Raider85 - Raiders to get(Lucy)/miss(R85) the wooden spoon. Signature for entire offseason.
Bottle of something to the value of $70 - Matthew Borewood to not see (Lucy)/to see (Piggles) a first grade game in 2015 for the Warriors.
The Name Change Bet - Regarding the three bets above;
I win all three I keep my name.
I win one I become "the Punish"
I lose all I become "Chicken Little"

If the team sticks to tradition we win 38-36 from here.

TRY RAIDERS under the posts, capitalising on a dropped ball from the Cowboys scrum win. Converted from in front.

Cowboys 36-26 with 13 to go. Stranger things have happened...

Canberra Raiders force line drop out with 9 left on the clock, 10 points in arrears. But they drop it... And now are penalised near half way.

The Raiders were away, from their own 10m line, but the referee has called a forward pass against the Green Machine. 6 to go now.

4 mins left in this Raiders dropathon! Cowboys "try" correctly disallowed for forward pass.

The Raiders now drop it first tackle from the scrum win.

Raiders get 20m tap, and find the touch line to force a scrum 45m out... And lose it second tackle.

TRY COWBOYS under the post to finish an error riddled match.

Full time

Cowboys 42
Raiders 26

Disappointing, but not unexpected with a new team to cobble together.

Thanks for the updates, GE.

Son, we live in a world that has forums, and those forums have to be guarded by Mods. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Nickman? I have a greater responsibility than you can possibly fathom. You weep for Lucy, and you curse GE. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know -- that GE’s moderation, while tragic, probably saved lives; and my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, keeps threads on track and under the appropriately sized, highlighted green headings.
You want moderation because deep down in places you don't talk about at parties, you want me on that forum -- you need me on that forum. We use words like "stay on topic," "use the appropriate forum," "please delete." We use these words as the backbone of a life spent defending something. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very moderation that I provide and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather that you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise, I suggest you get a green handle and edit a post. Either way, I don't give a DAMN what you think about moderation.

Goes without saying but this team will get better. I think it's a fairly strong squad

MATCH REPORT: Raiders downed by Cowboys in season opener

The Raiders NYC team has been defeated 42-26 in the opening to their season, in a match where they looked to comeback twice only to be thwarted by the Cowboys scoring back to back tries in both the first and second halves.

The Raiders opened the scoring when Leu Saipani scored his first try in his debut match in the NYC team and despite the missed conversion the Raiders led 4-0 after 11 minutes.

The Cowboys hit back three minutes later through Pat Kaufusi, when he ran a nice line to score for North Queensland. Alex Grant converted for a 6-4 lead.
