Maybe they are experimenting with him as an impact player.

Interesting to see Tsai Tui at prop for Flegg as well. From wing to prop in one season is a big move.

He is big enough at that level.

The other interesting thing is Pearson's move to the second row in recent weeks........

I see that Bronx Goodwin is again on the wing with Robertson at fullback. I wonder if that is benficial because obviously Robertson is leaving us, and fullback is a pressure position, I think it would be better to put Bronx Goodwin there that would benefit us in the long run, more that Robertson anyway. Whats the word on Goodwin is he big, medium, fast, is he any good? I don't get to see the Premier League here in New Zealand.

Goodwin has been going well in PL. He is bigger than I expected and pretty fast. Good in attack.

Looks more like a second rower than a fullback.

Ale to the bench... The wonder kid that should be in firsts cant get a start in PL... Guys? Thoughts?

Its either a kick in the ass, which is likely after reggies got flogged, or they want to try him off the bench with a view to using him there in firsts.

Also wasnt Goodwin in the first grade squad? So wouldnt he be elligible for selection in firsts?

How have Hinchcliffe and Alley-Tovio been going?

The latter is reputed to be pretty versatile.. could be a good bench player for firsts next year?

Hows Hinchcliffe going at hooker? Is he a potential first grade hooker?

Yeah I cant say what happened last week because I didnt see it but Ale might have been one of those who didnt perform.

Hinchcliffe is going great guns. Although not ready for firsts imo. No spot for him either! Battle of the W's in firsts Woolford and Withers.

Alley-Tovio has been out all year with injury! Hasnt had enough game time to be anything special.

Stevie's assessment is spot on from my observation.

He had an ankle injury at the start of the season and lost a lot of fitness and so was played in the forwards in SG ball and then again with Erindale so he has had some time there this season.
