Its top of the table clash, so surprised Cornish isnt playing.

Brenko Lees hammy must be ok by now as well.

I find it interesting that Cornish is left out again , especially 1 vs 2 .

How many games does he have to play to be eligible for the finals ?

They can't really miss the top 4, so maybe they are happy to leave him out for a bit longer. If he and Lee are both back for the semis its hard to see them losing.

I know it doesn't matter, first or second, really, but I'd love us to be minor premiers! I wish they'd settled Mitch Cornish back into U20s by now.

Better for his development at the Mounties so as long as he's played enough games to be eligible for u20s finals Im happy for him to stay there

Didn't they say in the 'Ask the Raiders' thread that it didn't matter how many games he plays for Mounties as they are both rated at the same level?

I believe he has struggled with general fitness in the past. His leg might be ok but he has lost a bit of conditioning. Otherwise it's a pretty long hammy injury, I think it's about 10 weeks.

So much talent in that team right there.

Its pretty weird how we have had such strong under 20s team since the start and but its hardly turned us in to a premiership force over the years :thumbsdown

NYC Round 22 Match Preview: Raiders v Roosters

The Canberra Raiders Under 20s side will certainly have their work cut out for them this Saturday afternoon when they take on the second placed Sydney Roosters at Allianz Stadium. Two players likely to have a major impact against the Roosters are the Pangai brothers, Kilu and Tevita. “Kilu’s been pretty good for the last couple of games and Tevita has been gradually getting better as he’s become more accustomed to the NYC,” coach Mick Mantelli said. “They’re good kids, they train hard and they do all the little things right.”

Has anyone seen much of the Roosters this year? How has Tyler Cornish been going? I know Langi is a gun and I remember big Shaq in the front row from last year, but don't know too much about their other players.

From what I've heard, Tyler Cornish hasn't been doing that great.

Roosters to kick off, Raiders have the ball for the set. We're underway! Mitch Barnett has started, not Mitchell Shaw.

Poor defence

2nd min TRY ROOSTERS Big break from Blair up the middle, and it's followed up by Batiste for the four pointer. Converted. Poor defence from Canberra up the middle, Roosters score in just their first set of six.

Raiders had a poor finish from their set kicking dead .

From there the Roosters made easy ground and then a break

Which lead to the try

Raiders thrashed the Storm in Holden cup last week then the Storm returned the favour in first grade. Wouldn't mind if the reverse happened today!

Raiders defended better that set

A bomb went up and Rueben spills and Roosters score

7th min TRY ROOSTERS Reuben cannot handle the bomb to the corner, falls into the hands of Brendan Elliot and it's another four points. This is a very slow start for Canberra. Elliott appears to have a nose bleed after scoring the try. And now Elliot converts his second from the sideline.

Raiders arrived at the ground late due to traffic around Moore Park

Maybe that's a reason for the slow start
