This is really easy
Heffernan scores
Heffernan scores
Re: 2013 Holden Cup: Rd 21 V Storm
He plays with such patience. He looks like a bloke who has 200 career fg games under his belt against boys.Luffty wrote:Ahearn really is a talent isn't he...
Im not sure how it translates to FG but he's a smart footballer. A year ago i didnt think he had regular FG potential, but he impresses me more and more every game.
Im still not sure he's going to have a long FG career, he's just lacking something, i dont know what, because his play at this level is absolutely dominate. I just cant shake it

This team exudes talent. Hopefully we can hold onto at least a few of them.
Re: 2013 Holden Cup: Rd 21 V Storm
33rd min TRY RAIDERS to Andrew Heffernan. Break up the middle and Heffernan is there backing up. Well deserved, his foot work and attack has been great all match. Converted Jordan Worboys.

I agree Nick. I didn't rate him too much until this season, but he consistently dominates.
The old problem, where could he play in FG.
Anyway, how good is Heffernan! I remember someone (myself) said watch out for him just before his debut game.
He played football with my brother and was outstanding.

Can we sign up this Heffernan kid?
Re: 2013 Holden Cup: Rd 21 V Storm
Its becoming a clinic
Re: 2013 Holden Cup: Rd 21 V Storm
When Brenko Lee comes back, you've got to keep Heffernan. Hawkins to the wing for Creith.
Re: 2013 Holden Cup: Rd 21 V Storm
36th min TRY RAIDERS They just keep coming! This time to Ricky Garard. Worboys gets the goal.

Raiders slacken off and allow a try to be scored against them just before halftime

39th min TRY STORM to Petterson Robati. Converted. Storm given the chance when the kick off went dead and Canberra was forced into a line drop out.
Raiders 26-6
And that's half time.

I reckon Heffernan would look good at 5/8 too. I'd go with that if Cornish stays at Mounties.Nick wrote:When Brenko Lee comes back, you've got to keep Heffernan. Hawkins to the wing for Creith.

It's amazing how good this team is even without Milford, Cornish and Lee.

Raiders receive the ball from the kick off and out to the 40 on the 4th
Re: 2013 Holden Cup: Rd 21 V Storm
There is literally no way this team wouldnt win the comp with Cornish, Milford and Brenko Lee inserted in this side
1. Milford 2. Rueben 3. Heffernan 4. Lee 5. Hawkins 6. Ahearn 7. Cornish 8.Cropper 9. Schubach 10. Tomarchio 11. Mago 12. Pangai 13. Bateman
14. Gerrard/Warboys 15. Barnett 16. Seager 17. Pangai
Good luck beating that side

Hard to believe how badly they got pumped in the final last year. Would love to see them go one step further.
