Raiders got too fancy in the conditions at the end there, could have easily put another 2-3 tries on

FULL TIME - RAIDERS 46 - PARRAMATTA 6

In so far as you can win by 40 and still be 'patchy', that was very patchy for the Raiders today. Plenty to work on in the lead up to the finals.

MATCH REPORT: Hawkins and Heffernan score hat tricks in Canberra Raiders NYC win over Eels

Centres Jeremy Hawkins and Andrew Heffernan both scored hat tricks this afternoon in the Canberra Raiders NYC side’s 46-6 drubbing of the Parramatta Eels. Co-captain Hawkins led the way all afternoon, making a number of damaging runs throughout the game chalking up three tackle breaks on top of his three tries, while Heffernan showed football maturity well beyond his 18 years, scoring his hat trick through his excellent support play. Canberra were in control the whole game, completely out muscling the Eels in both attack and defence to record a comprehensive victory in freezing conditions.
