78th min Sharks held up over the line on the last tackle. Sharks are challenging to see if there's a try. And it's not even close to being grounded. Raiders set starts on the 10m line.

Jack Ahearn has really stood up with the top players missing.

Ahearn won that game for us. He's such a composed player.
Re: 2013 Holden Cup: Rd 10 V Sharks
These guys don't know HOW to lose
Son, we live in a world that has forums, and those forums have to be guarded by Mods. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Nickman? I have a greater responsibility than you can possibly fathom. You weep for Lucy, and you curse GE. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know -- that GE’s moderation, while tragic, probably saved lives; and my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, keeps threads on track and under the appropriately sized, highlighted green headings.
You want moderation because deep down in places you don't talk about at parties, you want me on that forum -- you need me on that forum. We use words like "stay on topic," "use the appropriate forum," "please delete." We use these words as the backbone of a life spent defending something. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very moderation that I provide and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather that you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise, I suggest you get a green handle and edit a post. Either way, I don't give a DAMN what you think about moderation.

Congratulations to the Under 20s team!! Sounds like they had a good win, I'll have to make the effort to watch them more often

MATCH REPORT: Last minute win for Holden Cup Raiders
A 79th minute try from winger Jonathan Reuben has seen the Canberra Raiders Under 20s side snatch a dramatic come from behind victory, 26-24, against the Cronulla Sharks. The Raiders looked down and out midway through the second half when Sharks back rower Michael Morris scored the home side’s third unanswered try for a 24-10 lead with less than 30 minutes remaining. However, the Raiders clawed back into the match scoring three late tries to seal an unlikely win.

Raiders go top after late winner
A last-gasp try to speedster Jonathon Reuben allowed the Canberra Raiders to leap to the top of the under-20s ladder with a 26-24 win over Cronulla at Sharks Stadium on Sunday. Leading 24-20 with 90 seconds left, the hosts looked set to produce a boilover before a piece of brilliance from Jack Ahearn got the Raiders out of jail. From 40 metres out, the fullback’s chip over the top was pounced on by winger Reuben, who outsprinted the defence to level the scores. Five-eighth Jordan Worboys made no mistake with the game-winning conversion 10 metres to the right of the uprights.
CANBERRA RAIDERS 26 (Ricky Garard, Jack Ahearn, Brad Smith, Tevita Pangai, Jonathon Reuben tries; Jordan Worboys 2, Mitch Cornish goals) bt CRONULLA SHARKS 24 (Rea Pittman, Scott Sorenson, Josh Lambert, Michael Morris, Alan Niulesa tries; Jake Walsh 2 tries) at Sharks Stadium on Sunday.

Re: 2013 Holden Cup: Rd 10 V Sharks
Ahern is a young Campo, he's so bloody good he is a natural first grader. Cornish and Milford have it on his for fancy footwork, but there isn't anything he can't do. He also tried to stop tries too. Where the hell do we get all these exciting players? The younger Pangai set up a ripper try and knocked over half the Sharks team to score one himself. Ricky Garrard is also very very classy. Ahern looks like a blend of the Mortimer's with passes like Ricky Stuart and skills like a young Campo. What are we going to do with all of these guys?Raidersrawesome wrote:Woo hoo Ahern

Great to see them get a win without Lee as a get out of jail card. Ahearn is really looking the goods now as well.

Reuben is great but shouldn't get into first grade before Cornish and Ahern.
