I see he's playing in the Sharks Holden Cup. What did he do wrong at the Raiders?

Re: Malcolm Congoo
He had the worst game in Raiders colours ever, it was hideous, and he got chopped straight after the match. I will admit, however, the Congoo-Lee combo was a thing of pure beauty while it lasted.

We don't like to talk about it Aero. Only in hushed voices behind the Meninga stand.

If it doesn't involve a dog or a pineapple cruiser, surely he could be given another chance?

Think Sandor Earl in round 1 x100 and you should get a rough idea.Albi wrote:What happened?
I liked Congoo a lot though. He had legs like a horse and he never looked like getting caught when he got open, but I doubt he'll ever make it to first grade.

He turned up with a blonde perm, he made 25cm in attack, missed 83 tackles, made 0 line breaks and made 1 tackle when some dude fell over him... need I go on?
Malcolm Congoo
That the one where he caught the kick and then stepped out afterwards?

Was thinking about the potential players that could play 1st grade next year if we so happen to lose Fergo and Milford
I thought Congoo was still injured but came across his name at the Sharks, actually came as a surprise that he is not at the Raiders anymore.
Watched a few games last year and he really caught my eye, men amongst boys when he was playing good

Avatar Bet - bleedgreen99 - Raiders to make (BG99)/miss(Lucy) the 8. Avatar from last round of regular season 2015 until GF 2016.
Signature Bet - Raider85 - Raiders to get(Lucy)/miss(R85) the wooden spoon. Signature for entire offseason.
Bottle of something to the value of $70 - Matthew Borewood to not see (Lucy)/to see (Piggles) a first grade game in 2015 for the Warriors.
The Name Change Bet - Regarding the three bets above;
I win all three I keep my name.
I win one I become "the Punish"
I lose all I become "Chicken Little"

Re: Malcolm Congoo
The spiral of silence refers to the idea that when people fail to speak, the price of speaking rises. As the price to speak rises, still fewer speak out, which further causes the price to rise, so that fewer people yet will speak out, until a whole culture or nation is silenced. This is what happened in Germany.
If you do not speak, you are not being neutral, but are contributing to the success of the thing you refuse to name and condemn.

He had one of the worst games a winger can have and got dropped. Never made it back into the team. He has a lot of speed, but not much else. Hawkins and Reuben are far better players.Melanesian wrote:What was the reason for him going/ let go?

Re: Malcolm Congoo
Congoo was a freakishly fast player but that's where it ended im afraid
Rueben replaced him in the line up and is not much slower but a much more polished and smart footballer
I enjoyed Edrick Lee-Malcolm Congoo combination, it was a lot of fun to watch but i dont think Congoo will be a guy that comes back to haunt us
