It really was a hgreat effort, at 43-0 Penrith were on the attack on the last tackle, anyway tjhey put a little kick through, regathered an dwere until a raiders player (forgot who it was) made a great tackle and prevented the Penrith player from getting the ball down.

Great spirit by a side leading 43-0 :)

Bad news about Dobson. Hope he heals up well and it doesn't cause any problems for him further down the road.
Good to hear Carney is finding form again. Spewing I missed PL.

Premier League were awesome. I know it is going to shock people that I have said this, but Cross and Tyran Smith had great games. Cross was official man of the match.

For all of you guys who say Todd Carney can't play.... you should have been at Canberra Stadium today. He scored two tries that I can remember and set up heaps of others. His first was a beautiful chip and regather...... The width of his passing is extremely good. This guy IS the goods. You just have to be a bit patient.

Dobson played very well, but got injured towards the end of the game and had to be taken off by the medicab.

Hinchcliffe played very well at hooker, and when Lawrence came on as a substitute, he played out of his skin, obviously stung by being left on the bench.

Ale had a truly excellent match, making long breaks downfield. He IS a star of the future. Raston and Campese also had strong games. Zillman is a bit wasted at fullback. He is better in the halves.

Well done to all the PL team.

I only saw the second half of JF. They appeared all at sea without their regular halves, and only scored in the last couple of minutes. They lost 24-4. Just about everything they did, did not come off....... The official man of the match was Brendan Lyons, who was named on the bench.

Yeah, I couldn't work out how the head high tackle led to what appeared to be a knee injury.....

Don't waste your time Greeneyed. I have been telling everyone this for over a year. Problem is, most people see him come on in the 70th minute of a first grade match and try to tell you he can't play. The funny thing is that almost everyone on both forums are saying that he has been out of form, those that watch him week in, week out are still trying to work out what games they are watching......

Half the people that say those things don't even watch the PL games, they are just jumping on the bandwagon.

I know, I know Woodgers..... I believe the old codgers like me can see a good footballer.......

I would be very interested to know the proportion of people who tell me that Carney can't play, who have actually watched a PL game this season - ie who have not made their judgement on a few minutes of a NRL match. :)

I saw Campo and Jermaine at the Coogee Palace last night :D . Anyone got the scorer's list for the game?

On Todd Carney: Brett Seymour from the Broncos plays a role which I'd like to see Carney play. When Lockyer is at 5/8, Seymour doesn't do much in the way of playmaking/organising, he basically just provides support to Lockyer. When Lockyer is out, Seymour takes the reins. Seymour may or may not be a better halfback at this stage than Carney, and he may be a couple of years older, but Bennett was using him in the same role last year when he was a year younger. Imagine if Seymour was used off the bench like Carney was!

I have never seen the 2nd grade team play. But I have believed Todd Carney is the goods all along, I just think with all the rep games he has been selected for and captained too many people see that he is good for him not to be. Even if he is not as good as they thought he's still be a pretty decent half.

Would anyone prefer to watch our 2nd grade side on the telly over our top grade side?

I would, Carney, Campese, Zillman, Ale, Raston, Milne. Its sounds like a really exciting watch. :D Our 2nd grade coaching staff sound like they are teaching an exciting style of play  . I got to see the 2003 Premier League final on telly and really enjoyed it. Our top side is sooo boring, but I still love them. :oops
