Jersey Flegg looked very good for about 20 minutes in the first half. They were down by 22-6 or something like that, after allowing the Roosters to score almost at will on sequential sets.

Then the Raiders did the same thing and went in leading 24-22 at half time. Briggs looked very good at five eighth.... I think it is the first time I have seen him play. Dobson was also extremely good. Zillman looked great at times in attack from fullback, but often seemed out of sorts with his defence in that position, and under the high ball. The Raiders looked tired in the second half on a very hot day and were never really in it during the second half.

The Premier League team ground out a very good win in the second half. Terry Campese won man of the match at the ground, but in my opinion it was Todd Carney very clearly yet again.

JF only have two points from the bye..... They have been unlucky in a couple of games, losing late in the second half. They seem to tire at the end of each half.

Matthew Elliott mentioned Carney again, this time in the ABC post-match interview. He was asked about Kris Kahler, which led to him talking about depth, and mentioned our undefeated Premier League side. Singling out Todd Carney, he said he's going to be confronted with selection difficulties in the near future, and that Todd has progressed enormously in the past month.

That's a very good sign that Elliot would even recognise that, especially when we're winning and he doesn't really need to change a winning team.

Well, I do believe it would be better to introduce Carney into the team while it has a winning culture than when we are on a 10 match losing streak

I thought Williams played OK when he was on ... he's a heavier version of Miller.

Ah so that was Williams... bloody hell he's a big bopper.

RR I thought Robbo was pretty solid once again, played fullback for most of the second half with Goodwin off injured. Nothing that will force Elliott to pick him in firsts though.

Even Howell proved he's better than Robbo today with some nice touches and the winning try. He defused some bombs very nicely.

Grim times for Robbo when he's below Howell in the pecking order!

saved a beauty in-goal when he just plucked the thing out of the air without jumping
