Mason set to sign with the Dragons
WILLIE Mason is poised to revive his career in the south of France.
The Australian veteran, who left the Knights at the end of last season, was in talks with Catalans Dragons before Christmas.
But they appeared to break down, leaving the 35-year-old in limbo.

Mitchell Pearce doing his best Joel Monaghan impression... Cya Mitch...
Re: The rumour mill
Just saw the news. Looks like Pearce pulled some sort of Monaghan stunt with a dog and was caught on film. He'll be off to super league or French rugby then.

Trouble for the chooks now, Hastings in the halves with no one. They'll be kicking themselves for letting Maloney go now. Maybe they should bring Carney back? Haha

Re: The rumour mill
I just asked my guy what happened. His response: Titans probably just got their #7
Son, we live in a world that has forums, and those forums have to be guarded by Mods. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Nickman? I have a greater responsibility than you can possibly fathom. You weep for Lucy, and you curse GE. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know -- that GE’s moderation, while tragic, probably saved lives; and my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, keeps threads on track and under the appropriately sized, highlighted green headings.
You want moderation because deep down in places you don't talk about at parties, you want me on that forum -- you need me on that forum. We use words like "stay on topic," "use the appropriate forum," "please delete." We use these words as the backbone of a life spent defending something. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very moderation that I provide and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather that you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise, I suggest you get a green handle and edit a post. Either way, I don't give a DAMN what you think about moderation.

He shouldnt be just punted from the Roosters , he should be punted from the NRL if the allegations are true
Re: The rumour mill
I agree. Im sure he was being tongue in cheek.

Re: The rumour mill
Surely he is a shot duck after this. Doing this act once (J Monna) is bad enough but to repeat the whole Monnas, Carney repertoire must be beyond Easts capacity to crisis manage.
Japan rugby is probably his best chance.

Well, I was just thinking that the dog days of the offseason were getting everybody down but were likely to liven up after Aust Day when everybody was back from holidays.
Now it is an actual dog day event which has kicked off season 2016.

Re: The rumour mill
Could be in more trouble than Monaghan with the law if he was in NSW rather than ACT? Depending on how "simulated" it was

SOUTH Sydney centre Bryson Goodwin continues to ask for a release from Redfern with a $250,000 offer to join Gold Coast sitting on the table.
The Bunnies are blocking the move after letting Dylan Walker join Manly and Joel Reddy opted to retire
