Committed defensive display by Souths. Well done to them, they shut down the Panthers with driving defensive plays. In the end the pressure told and the Panthers just could not play as they have all year. No Panthers v Storm Grand Final this year.

Robbo must have balls on him the size of battleships to be managing Sam Walker in a final like that. Shoulders shot so he can't really play but we'll carry him and bring him on for 9mins to win the game
He got a taste for it with Cronk and now just lives off the adrenalin.

Roosters players were all offside too.. though not a single ref in the game would call it.

I didn’t thing he Wabbits had a performance in them like that. Very impressive defensive effort. Good to see.

Was clearly an illegal wall. How is this not being discussed more?

You’re 100% on the money gangers.

If that had of been a Tits wall and a winning GC fg that would have been pulled up.

Roosters penalty.

But instead we put the blinkers on.

At any other point in the game, the Roosters backs being offside on the final play also would have been a penalty. Now that's "lucky".

Roosters wall was illegal however a penalty would have been unlucky given it's not been called all year.

The offside on the last play irked me most. It was blatant. Id have to see a replay to know if any officials got back in time to make the call. If so then there's no excuse.

Fair enough there was a bit going on.
But jeez that angle that showed two roosters in front of the play the ball deserved a replay at the time.
I’ve often wondered who controls the replays and where their affinities lie.

Them being in front just makes it more egregious. In front, behind, doesn’t matter - it’s an illegal wall.

Spot on about the replay. Another team dudded and what’s the odds it gets lots more replay (potentially forcing the bunker to intervene) and airtime in the media.

A fortnight ago Robbo unloaded on refs/bunker and it’s cost Uncle Nick $40k.

Since then the Chooks got plenty of favourable calls last week against us and last night.

$40k well spent.

I thought that even by this years poor standard of refereeing, that game was outstandingly poorly refereed. Titans have every reason to feel dudded.

I’m sick of these Bull “element of football” decisions on obstruction.

Agree with Parra - their defensive line was disrupted. Black and white is better, that’s obstruction.

Well yeah it feels unfair, when Fifita's was disallowed last night on a black and white ruling

Look at that - Parra make a half break shut down by Best. Parra have the sense to spread the ball quickly to the side where Best is now missing and easily break through.

That’s the kind of awareness play the Raiders really lack. Raiders throw a crash ball back into the middle

I reckon Papa was a bigger chance of scoring a try it Cronk hadn’t tackled him early in the Grand Final than the Parra player just then.

Gutho doing his best to ruin that ending but good win in the end. Why are so many players obsessed with the kick instead of just passing?

The burden for what is given a penalty try has changed in that period.

The parra player that just had to catch the ball that sat up and fall over the line? Yeah that's a try.

FWIW i think if that incident happened now, they'd have strongly considered a penalty try and imo, likely given it
