Standout performances from centres Tom Trbojevic and Latrell Mitchell helped NSW claim their biggest State of Origin win with a 50-6 thrashing at Townsville's North Queensland Stadium on Wednesday night.

The Blues centres wreaked havoc throughout and scored five tries between them, Trbojevic embracing a roving role on the way to a hat-trick and Mitchell twice breaking the Queensland defensive line in the first half and scoring twice in the second.

Yep the chances of Penrith winning the premiership have increased tonight.

I thought Luai, Cleary, To’o and Yeo were sensational. Martin was good off the bench.

This is exactly what should have happened last year. It was an absolute boil over that I couldn’t believe.

However, NSW have won a game very easily the past few years. It hasn’t meant they dominate the series.

Welch and Papalii and probably Ponga will be back for game 2, and if Munster and Grant can get a bit of match fitness they will be a different side. They both looked badly underdone tonight.
