Why do the commentators keep making the point that Souths are potentially letting go of a goal kicking half back when they also have a very good fullback that kicks goals?

The most exciting bit was when he kicked the ball. Then I was over it pretty quickly
Gina Riley: Oh, come on, John. That’s a bit old hat, the corrupt IOC delegate.
John Clarke: Old hat? Gina, in the scientific world when they see that something is happening again and again and again, repeatedly, they don’t call it old hat. They call it a pattern.

And the half back can't kick a goal to save his life at the moment

It's always fun watching the Broncos lose but Souths haven't really turned up, barely a training run. Been a little boring tbh.

Halves are issue 1 for the broncs. They had like 4 sets in a row where they were getting into the game and the halves undid all the good work. Need to clean out all 3 and start again.

It'd be great if they just stayed the course.

I did feel sorry for Anthony Milford tonight after the game, especially given the way he looked and especially given what Greg Alexander said: https://www.foxsports.com.au/nrl/nrl-pr ... 12c0ec8d3c

And then there was this...

‘You’d have to say no’: Kevvie’s damning assessment on Milford’s Broncos future: https://www.foxsports.com.au/nrl/nrl-pr ... 00ab346dc9

But then I remembered...

So where does that leave Milford in regards to his next contract? He has to stay in Brisbane to take care of his sick dad. So it's either Titans or hang round a couple of years in Q Cup hoping for a gig with the new Brisbane NRL team.

You're paying a million a season you're expecting him to deliver you a premiership

Obviously circumstances have changed and the squad they had when he signed has basically been turned over, but there's no way he could justify being paid same if not more.

Lot of factors involved with Milford. The old Broncos would cut their losses and mercilessly get rid of him. Which would leave him in a pickle because his asking price has plummeted and would he be willing to relocate? Titans don't really need him so he can't really stay near family.
But what teams need him and which position? His transition to the halves, or at least how it was done has ended in failure. Too unfit at the moment for fullback, but worth a gamble at the right price. He'd carve up in England. Clearly lacking a mentor at this stage of his career.

But the new Broncos are probably stupid enough to offer him a new deal.

Milford should back himself with a 1 year deal at a different club. Maybe he should follow Ryan James lead at the Raiders and shoot low.

Titans giving it to the nights, storm flogging the dogs while at the same time the dog scoring more points against the storm then they have scored against the rest of the teams theyve played this year, and now the sharks score within the first 3 mins and dominating the first 10 mins

Cronulla is actually targeting him. Not sure what the Warriors were doing last week, but every team should be running their second rower directly at him at least once per set.
