Manly Sea Eagles 2021

Manly Sea Eagles: 2021 round 1 predicted team

Very much a team in flux, there are questions as to where the returning Kieran Foran fits in alongside existing playmakers Cade Cust, Lachie Croker, Josh Schuster and Dylan Walker. Manase Fainu remains stood down so Cust, Foran or Croker will probably be needed to play in the No.9 jersey. With young gun Schuster all but demanding a starting spot in the halves, Foran could be the one to fill the breach with one of the other two to play a bench utility role.

1. Tom Trbojevic
2. Jorge Taufua
3. Dylan Walker
4. Moses Suli
5. Jason Saab
6. Josh Schuster
7. Daly Cherry-Evans (c)
8. Martin Taupau
9. Kieran Foran
10. Josh Aloiai
11. Curtis Sironen
12. Andrew Davey
13. Jake Trbojevic

14. Cade Cust
15. Taniela Paseka
16. Jack Gosiewski
17. Sean Keppie

Others: Morgan Boyle, Lachlan Croker, Manase Fainu, Tevita Funa, Reuben Garrick, Morgan Harper, Tolutau Koula, Haumole Olakau'ata, Brad Parker, Toafofoa Sipley, Ben Trbojevic, Christian Tuipulotu

I've seen other sites list Lachlan Croker at hooker... with Foran in the halves...

Foran’s homecoming leaves Hasler with big selection call: Sea Eagles’ best 17

2011’s premiership-winning halves Daly Cherry-Evans and Kieran Foran have reunited under the man who took them all the way — Des Hasler.

SEA EAGLES’ BEST 17

1. Tom Trbojevic
2. Jason Saab
3. Dylan Walker
4. Moses Suli
5. Reuben Garrick
6. Kieran Foran
7. Daly Cherry-Evans
8. Josh Aloiai
9. Manase Fainu*
10. Martin Taupau
11. Andrew Davey
12. Curtis Sironen
13. Jake Trbojevic

14. Josh Schuster
15. Jack Gosiewski
16. Taniela Paseka
17. Sean Keppie

*Manase Fainu is sidelined under the NRL’s no-fault stand down policy. His trial is set for July 26.

I’m amazed Hasler has let the squad stagnate tbh. I’m not sold on Davey being an adequate replacement for Thompson and Foran potentially playing hooker is puzzling.

So many big part players really hurts a team that should be tremendous when DCE and Trbo are fit.
well, I guess you could say that I'm buy curious.

Davey really isn't meant to be an adequate replacement. I think they'll be looking internally for the Thompson replacement and Davey will be on the bench.
Jack Gosiewski probably the most likely. Again they're not going to get like for like. Their cap is just weirdly slanted so they have to make do.

Sea Eagles full-back Tom Trbojevic to miss start of NRL season

Manly Warringah Sea Eagles have been dealt a blow to the start of their 2021 season with Tom Trbojevic suffering a hamstring injury. The injury is the result of an innocuous accident. Scans have revealed a grade two tear to his right hamstring, meaning Trbojevic will be unavailable until at least round four.

As a rugby league fan it’s a real shame. Trbo is absolute poetry in motion on the field, probably my favorite non Raider to watch play currently. I hope he can overcome it because there’s not enough superstars in the game to have one of the best burn out in his early 20s.

Probably best for the team that he did it playing silly buggers (nobody believes the shower story) than in the middle of a game.

But seriously, how fragile is this guy? It is a shame. He's a quality fullback.

Maybe he should bite the bullet and look for a better back of house ran club then the shambles that is manly. Tedesco is a very good example of what having the right doctors and physios and the right knowledge can do to a bloke who couldnt stay on the field for longer then 20 mins.

Des Hasler agrees to two-year deal keeping him at Manly Sea Eagles to end 2023

Manly coach Des Hasler has reached an agreement with Manly to remain as coach until the end of 2023.

"I am very glad to have the opportunity to continue working with this high calibre group of players we have now and those who will emerge in the near future through our Pathways Program," Hasler said.
