Johns / Cartwright... Quite possibly Blues team mates at one point. The Nickman wrote:Broncos great in pub fight with Walters' assistant
Broncos coach Kevin Walters has hosed down claims the club is at war following reports of a pub altercation between his assistant, John Cartwright, and Broncos legend Chris Johns.
Johns confirmed he and Cartwright were involved in an incident late last year just weeks into Walters' tenure at Red Hill.

Broncos Grate.
Re: Brisbane Broncos 2021
Actually Chris Johns was a pretty good player. Played most his career at the filth too.

Yeah. He was certainly a rep quality player in an era of Meninga, Miles, O’Connor, Daley at centre etc.gergreg wrote:Actually Chris Johns was a pretty good player. Played most his career at the filth too.

Wow did not think Broncos would ever become a poaching ground for other teams. Coates to go to Storm.
Roosters and Storm are going from such strength to strength, they're such destination clubs now, it's hard to see their dominance ending any time soon if ever

Re: Brisbane Broncos 2021
Coates a great replacement for JAC, although it goes against Bellamy's modus operandi to bring in a high profile winger from another club. He's had great success recruiting younger fringe NRL players in that position.Canberra Milk wrote: ↑May 5, 2021, 2:35 pm Wow did not think Broncos would ever become a poaching ground for other teams. Bellamy seeing a shift in the game toward it now being worth putting a bit more cap into back 5, since they are now short C Smith.Northern Raider wrote: ↑May 5, 2021, 2:44 pmCoates a great replacement for JAC, although it goes against Bellamy's modus operandi to bring in a high profile winger from another club. Re: Brisbane Broncos 2021
Possibly. Priority might need to be securing players long term. Hughes recently upgraded. Grant and Papenhuysen will justifiably be chasing bigger pay packets after this year. They Still have keep Munster too. Retaining that spine will be his priority.BadnMean wrote: ↑May 5, 2021, 2:47 pmBellamy seeing a shift in the game toward it now being worth putting a bit more cap into back 5, since they are now short C Smith.Northern Raider wrote: ↑May 5, 2021, 2:44 pmCoates a great replacement for JAC, although it goes against Bellamy's modus operandi to bring in a high profile winger from another club. It was only last week that the new **** Broncos CEO was whinging about other clubs poaching their best young players. And here they are signing a 30 year old half and then talk of signing Gagai and Hynes.

Hear me now, believe me later, but this Adam Reynolds signing is going to go down as one of the most expensive duds in history.
No way this works out how they want it to, so glad we dodged this bullet.

I'd be interested how many games he's missed through injury last 3 seasons, I feel like he's out pretty oftenThe Nickman wrote:Hear me now, believe me later, but this Adam Reynolds signing is going to go down as one of the most expensive duds in history.

Re: Brisbane Broncos 2021
It’ll be a flop of a signing IMO. He’s not moving the needle for that Broncos side, especially on the other side of 30.
