NSW way too good.
About what we expected for the entire series really.
The teams are genuinely mismatched however QLD managed to jag game 1 and now we have a decider..

Why Cameron Munster was ruled out of Origin II despite ’passing’ his HIA

Queensland team doctor Matt Hislop has revealed why Cameron Munster failed to return on Wednesday night despite passing his HIA test.

“Just wanted to correct the report that Munster ‘failed’ his HIA assessment in the medical room,” Maroons doctor Hislop tweeted. “He passed (compared to baseline) but that doesn’t matter. He was Cat 1 based on poor balance as demonstrated on the replay, meaning regardless of his HIA he could not return tonight.”

Strange game. A part of me thinks Bennett thought it was a lost cause when Munster went off, nothing else explains leaving Papalii off the field for so long, other than making sure he is rested for the decider, but that doesn’t explain leaving Lui off until the last 5 minutes. He gave Collins and Arrow way too many minutes.

I don't understand why teams are still having to travel on gameday. Only realised when they mentioned it during the coverage. Huge advantage for the home side.

I missed the first 10 minutes because i just forgot it was on.
Definitely doesn't feel like Origin to me despite the game itself seemingly being played at a pretty high level

Not many good performers for QLD but Papalii and Lui were two of their best.
Cleary i thought was very good, his kicking game and the way they relentlessly terrorised QLD with those early kicks for Addo-Carr to run down was really well executed. Topou was a monster coming off the goalline. I think both centres struggled at times, Tedesco was his usual incredible self and as much as i hate to say it, i thought Saifiti was really good too

Dominant win from NSW, sort of win i expected across all three games given the talent disparity.
At least we get a decider but i think if NSW play anything close to their best, they'll win fairly comfortably. Deciders are always a bit fun though so its good we have that.

Part of the problem is that every rugby league show shut down after the grand final. Normally every rugby league program hypes Origin for three months at least. The NRL thought it was a brilliant idea, putting Origin off until after the season and everyone was talking about how great it was that the season wasn’t being interrupted by Origin. How they might do it on an ongoing basis. How much better Origin would be played in a concentrated period of three weeks. That talk was driven by narrow club interests, of course. Clearly there wasn’t much choice this year, given it was uncertain the season would even be completed. But it is good the NRL quickly admitted that Origin would go back to the middle of the season next year after the TV ratings came in for Origin I. And it is pretty clear one week between Origins is affecting the standard of the contests.

QLD playing rope-a-dope tactics? They are clearly an inferior squad. 1st game ambush was impossible to repeat in game 2. NSW level the series with an emphatic win. Go into game 3 over confident again and QLD prepare for another ambush. Similar happened last year where only a last minute try to Teddy won the series.

Very simple answer why - the Queensland government requires it. The Queensland players are now in “quarantine” back in the bubble in Qld after having visited NSW yesterday.

Similarly the NSW team are only allowed into Qld on game day because they have been in Sydney in the past 14 days.

However, the most crazy rule is that for the Queensland players, because they next Wednesday mix with NSW players who have come from Sydney, the clock resets and they need to quarantine for 14 days from next Thursday despite the fact it will have been 7 days already since they set foot in Sydney. Of course, many of them including Papa and Nami don’t live in Qld so will come back to NSW/ACT and no have to quarantine.

It just seems to me to be one thing for the Qld government to be cautious but this is something else.

After the game last night there were NRL staff around the players who went up to their families after the game, making sure that none of the players touched their wives or kids.

If NSW want to travel to QLD two hours early so they can get some rest prior to the game, what do you reckon the answer will be? Same answer the Raiders got for sure.

I suspect so. I think the one hope would be if they have organised something with a hotel that satisfies the Qld CHO in that they don’t have any contact with the hotel staff.

The NSWRL have had a month since the prelim final to try and work something out.

I don't know why they can't use rooms at Suncorp? Surely there's a big enough space somewhere they can segregate

Except how do you get to Tweed without going into Qld? You would need to bus it there.

I don't know how reliable the source is but I was told the were going up by coach anyway. Didn't sound logical to me?

Fly to Ballina.

Set up camp for the week in Tweed.

Take the 1 hour 15 min bus ride to Suncorp on the day.

Not rocket science
