Re: 2020 NRL Grand Final: Teams and Game Day
Would have been interesting to see how we would have gone against Penrith in a GF if we had managed to overcome Storm somehow.
On the evidence tonight I reckon we could have got them

That first 10 minutes we didn't turn up. Hate to dwell on what could have been.Botman wrote:Could have been us

The Panthers have recovered once from 22 points down and once from 23 points down.

Storm have taken their chances. Panthers haven't. Turned into a massive disparity on the scoreboard.

Love watching the meltdown from the Panfers fans commenting on Facebook. Blaming the refs but 90% of the calls have been correct.

Re: 2020 NRL Grand Final: Teams and Game Day
Gallen on the penalty try: “They are the rules but that was a tough call.”
By that token Rapana should have been awarded the try against the Roosters despite coming in from touch the other week because it looked spectacular.
Seriously how low can channel 9 commentary sink. Just embarrassing stuff.
Edit: And Fittler’s drunken dribbling. A worthy heir to the throne.

In 2016 100% he was. Croker likely gets a kangaroos call up in 2016 without the knee injury he copped in the prelim

Pamfers having their pants pulled...
Confirms their pretender status and the fact they benefited from an extremely soft draw and lack of travel..

Storm are back for the second half... now the Panthers are back.
Cameron Smith has broken the personal point scoring record in Grand Finals in the first half.
Storm kick off, we are back underway.

Storm and Bellamy would be nothing without Inglis, Slater, Folau, Cronk, Hoffman, Johnson, Chambers, Ross, Hill, and Kimmorley.
Nothing.
Nothing.
Re: 2020 NRL Grand Final: Teams and Game Day
I actually agree with Gallen’s sentiment. Basically he’s saying... yes that is technically the rule, but is that how the rule should be applied? The rule was put in to protect players from a Billy Slater kick. I don’t think Olam was put in any sort of danger by Tyrone May’s actions.Mickey_Raider wrote: ↑October 25, 2020, 7:40 pm Gallen on the penalty try: “They are the rules but that was a tough call.”

Panthers had become too cocky, everyone from their fans to the players to the office workers in the club had all gotten to cocky.

The Storm are the most arrogant club in the league! Their front office consistently puts a finger up to the NRL and the rest of the leagueElcaptcroker wrote: ↑October 25, 2020, 7:52 pm Panthers had become too cocky, everyone from their fans to the players to the office workers in the club had all gotten to cocky.

46th min TRY STORM to Ryan Papenhuyzen. The Panthers knock on... lose a captain's challenge. And then Papenhuyzen is away from the scrum! What a sight! He scores unchallenged, out wide. The Panthers have never come back from 26 points down. Cameron Smith fails to convert.
Storm 26-0

48th min Brent Naden comes in for Tyrone May. Forward pass from the Storm on the last. Now a 10 metre penalty against the Storm.

How was that the first 10m penalty Storm have copped in the final series.

Re: 2020 NRL Grand Final: Teams and Game Day
I think the football side of the Panthers were certainly very smug this year. But nothing comes close to the arrogance of the Storm front office. They’ve still got their salary cap cheating trophies on display!Elcaptcroker wrote: ↑October 25, 2020, 7:56 pmYou think they are worse then the panthers this year?the bone wrote:The Storm are the most arrogant club in the league!
